U.S. Marine Is A Real-Life Superman
By Wyatt Earp | December 28, 2011
A few of my co-workers served as Marines before they joined the department. We kid them, because none of the three have the Marine “look.” They’re wiry, nebbish men you wouldn’t see on a recruitment poster. They certainly don’t seem to be the type to plug their bullet wounds with their fingers.
Lieutenant Colonel Karl Trenker, 29, of Miramar, Florida, was shot three times as he confronted two men who had stolen a gold chain from him. He said he used his battlefield training from Afghanistan and Iraq to stem blood from chest wounds by shoving his finger into the gaping wound.
“I knew I was shot,” he said. “I just didn’t know I was shot that many times. I put my fingers in the holes to stop the bleeding and ran back to the truck and told my kids I had been shot, but not to worry.”
Read the story at the link. This man makes Chuck Norris look like a puss-aah.
The filthy animals that shot Lt. Col. Trenker were caught near the area and now face murder charges. If there was any justice, they would have to face Karl Trenker inside a locked room. I’d give them about three minutes before begging to come out.

Holy crap Wyatt! This is one seriously tough dude!
If I’d been shot 3 times in the chest, I’d a just fainted! LOL!
But why would those guys face murder charges? According to the article he’s gonna be ok.
Real – Most likely attempted murder, but the article missed that.
Lt. Colonel at 29. He is a stud. I would bet he would only need one shot at each of the punks to even the score.
Ingineer66 – Agreed. Not the kind of guy a normal person would want to frak with.
Pretty impressive. But I’d expect no less from a Devil Dog.
Ingineer66,
I found Lt Col at 29 a little hard to believe (I’ve never even met someone who made it that fast in my 25 years of military service), so I did a little research. The news site got it wrong. He’s 48 years old, 29 is the number of years he’s been a Marine.
John D. – He looks younger than 48 to me – at least in that photo.
Never mind meeting the colonel, I think those punks would be even more unhappy to meet a few of his men when they find out what happened.
Wyatt,
No matter how nerdy looking don’t ever f*ck with anything that has survived 10 weeks on Paris Island.
I have the scars and the cauliflower ear to prove it’s a bad idea.
