The DEA Requests Extra Starch
By Wyatt Earp | December 5, 2011
The New York Times, that bastion of conservatism, published a brutal hit piece on the Obama administration this weekend. Their story revealed that member of the Drug Enforcement Agency have been laundering millions of dollars of drug money and smuggling that money across our borders.
Citing unnamed current and former federal law enforcement officials, the newspaper said the agents, primarily with the Drug Enforcement Administration, have handled shipments of hundreds of thousands of dollars in illegal cash across borders.
Don’t worry, though; the DEA had a good reason for doing this:
According to these officials, the operations were aimed at identifying how criminal organizations move their money, where they keep their assets and, most important, who their leaders are, the report said.
They wanted to see how it was done? They gave this answer with a straight face? Well hell, I guess we can just start shooting people for curiosity’s sake!
Sealing court documents, gun-running and laundering money. Will someone please tell me how is the Obama administration any better than the Mexican drug cartels?

“Will someone please tell me how is the Obama administration any better than the Mexican drug cartels?”
Can the Mexican drug cartels cause the oceans to recede? I don’t think so! Oh. I see what you mean!
Why?? Because it’s election season for Obama. Laundered money can be donated anominously by computer to Obama like the millions of dollars from unverified sources he received last time. Obama is quite the un-transparent leader.
Proof – It’s turning out to be the most lawless administration in my lifetime. But yeah, Bush was the criminal.
Ferrell – Lucky for him, he’s on a 17-day vacation in Hawaii while this story breaks.
Just another reminder of why LEO’s should NEVER EVER trust a fed. I don’t include the Marshals’ Service because they are real police officers.
This won’t be popular but that’s the way I see it………
LDIV – I worked with an FBI agent in the Philly office during a federal trial. Nice guy, but I don’t have enough experience with them either way. Our warrant unit always speaks well of the Marshals, though.
[...] Apparently the DEA has been involved in laundering money for Mexican Cartels. I have to echo SayUncle on this, who asks, “So, can any agency bust border crimes that they didn’t create?” With this bunch, you really have to wonder. [...]
Dice, with you there. Tend to have a “fire – aim – duck” attitude.
