White House Ignores Congressional Subpoena
By Wyatt Earp | November 5, 2011
The White House told Congress that they will not cooperate with the Solyndra investigation. Most. Transparent. Administration. Ever!
President Obama’s attorney sent a letter to Congressional investigators on Friday, saying the White House would not cooperate with a subpoena requesting documents related to its doling out a $535 million loan guarantee to now bankrupt solar panel manufacturer Solyndra.
“I can only conclude that your decision to issue a subpoena, authorized by a party-line vote, was driven more by partisan politics than a legitimate effort to conduct a responsible investigation,” Obama’s counsel, Kathryn Ruemmler, wrote in a letter to the top Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce committee.
Half a billion dollars of our money, wasted, and Obama tells Congress to go frak themselves. Can you believe the absolute gall of these people?

That’s because all they have to do is whine about how any attempt to hold them accountable for their waste, excess or even that gunrunning venture with the Mexican cartels is a ‘partisan hatchet job’.

This is probably the tip of the iceberg in terms of the government loans. As even Larry Summers (hardly a conservative) has noted “Government is a lousy venture capitalist”.
Who knew??

Here are a few things that we could have paid for with that $535 Million. It would have covered the price tag for:
o Philadelphia’s police department for one year [not including its fringe benefits].
o The Philadelphia Housing Authority for 1.5 years.
o Tolls paid by all drivers on the entire Pennsylvania turnpike for nine months.
o Fares paid by SEPTA passengers for 1.5 years.
o The Lower Merion school district for 2.5 years.
o The Plymouth Whitemarsh school district for almost six years.
o The Philadelphia district attorney’s office for fifteen years.
o Philadelphia’s sanitation department for five years.
o Philadelphia’s recreation department for twelve years.
o The player payroll for the Phillies for three seasons.
o Phillie fans’ parking fees for seventeen seasons.
o The Eagles’ starting quarterback for twenty-five years.
o Philadelphia’s homeless assistance budget for twelve years.
o Philadelphia’s prisons for 2.5 years.
o Paying Johnny Depp to star in one or two pirate movies.
o Two years of home heating assistance to low income residents in the state of Pennsylvania.
o Pennsylvania’s S-chip program for five years.
o $375 gift card for every resident of the city of Philadelphia.
o A one year subscription to Sunday’s Inquirer for five million people.

Wyatt:
Don’cha miss the days when people who IGNORED a subpoena were promptly issued a BENCH WARRANT for contempt?
Be REAL nice to see Barry (or any of his cronies) get a perp-walk…LOL.
Yeah, I can dream…they haven’t found a way to tax THEM yet.
Roll safe out there.

LDIV – And yet, people still support this guy. Amazing.
Fenway – With the MSM at their beck and call, they can get away with it.
Ralph – Some of us knew about Obama, but no one in the MSM wanted to hear it.
AJ – Yeah, but solar is the wave of the future! /snark
Kent – He certainly does have the scandals piling up.
Piper – Hopefully, they will reap a landslide election loss in a year.
Bob G. – Who’s gonna issue it, Eric Holder???
