Dead On My Feet

By Wyatt Earp | October 16, 2011

They’re back, baby!

The Walking Dead, possibly the best show on television – it’s either that or Justified – returns tonight at 9pm on AMC. I know a lot off you have been patiently waiting for Season 2, so this is a a pretty good day.

That being said, here is what I’d like to see:

1. More Daryl. You can never get enough crossbow.
2. The fate of Morgan and Duane, the father/son combo Rick bunked with early in Season 1.
3. More Dale. I really love his character, even with his goofy hat.
4. The fate of Earl, Daryl’s one-handed brother.

So, drop what you’re doing tonight and tune in. Gonna be a bumpy ride!

Justified has great acting and great characters, this Zombie show just don’t do it for me. I think the acting sux and the story line is bogus. I tried it, but didn’t like it! Sorry!

I’m right there with ya Wyatt… The Earl backstory is sure to be interesting.

    I just don’t get Zombies………Ooh wait, Democrats, now I get it……..

I think Morgan and Duane are going to be more towards the series end, outside of Rick’s group they represent the hope for the rest of mankind at least in his mind, and someone to speak to albiet via radio, in regards to that hope of meeting again someday.

More Daryl also, I would love to see him get some exploding crossbow bolts.

Danny – Different strokes for different folks. I’ll be glues to the TV tonight, though.

    Sully – Can. Not. Wait.

LDIV – Democrats smell worse. Zing!

Jon – Always a hit at parties.

Just watched the premiere. Fantastic! And the last scene? Holy crap!!!

I did not see that ending coming. I was expecting zombie critters to maybe grab the deer and go for the kid, didn’t think some hunter would get a twofer.

As someone who read the graphic novel series, DAMN. That did NOT happen in the books. Nearly pooed myself.

Oh and Wyatt, I don’t think Daryl’s brother was Earl, but Merle. I too would like to see his fate…but he’s also MY guess as to who the hunter in the forest was that took the shot.

I have a few other guesses as to who took the shot, but cannot write them here due to prior knowledge of future endeavors.

Jon – I mouthed, “OH SH*T!” Great ending.

Dr. Evil – You’re right; it’s Merle. My bad. The missus saw Rick and Daryl on Talk Soup the other day. They were promoting the show and when I asked her who was on, she said, “I don’t know.” She remembered when she saw a scene tonight.

    Wyatt:
The show ROCKED…I was watching the eps leading up to the 2nd season premiere…

I agree with ALL your choices for what we need to see.

Also, anyone in that group thinking of hitting up SOME sort of GUN SHOP for extra ordnance and ammo?

In the ATL area, there just HAS to be a few that are NOT having “zombie-squatters” inside or out.
C’mon…it’s the SOUTHERN part of the US!
    And we’re a GUN-CULTURE!

Nice touch trying to get to Ft. Benning…get some SERIOUS firepower there (and some MREs).

And I’d dying to know what Jenner said to Rick!!!

    Good post.
(and aim for the head) ;)

Best show on TV. Well, that and Archer.

Oh my god, I couldn’t believe that last scene. Looks like it should be a great season.

Andy – I love them both.

Bob G. – I don’t recommend many things entertainment-wise, but I would highly recommend The Walking Dead, Justified, Archer, and The League. It’s the four shows on my TiVo Season pass.

Jim – The three-episode mini-season was fantastic. Especially with the lacrosse references.

Jason – They sucked us in with the gentle deer scene, then they punched us right in the head. Damned fine screenwriting.

I started watching this series last night. Four eps in so far and like it. And I think I know the fate of Earl. He’s a zombie. His hand looked zombi-fied in that last scene in the episode.

I suspect the father/son duo will show up to rescue our heroes at a point when it seems they are toast. Either that or they were a plot device to get the MC moving along.

I’ll bet Earl is the mystery hunter… now that would sure as hell make it go from bad to worse…
