Overnight Thread

I’ll be honest and frank with you. I’m exhausted. Daywork was a bear today, and when I came home the kids were rammy. I spent the late afternoon playing soccer and football with them in the backyard. I have no energy to post and even less energy to think of some decent discussion topics. So, with that, I’ll simply offer you this:

Sad to say, I spent a good chunk of the weekend on this.
Those alligator-filled moats are starting to sound better and better…

Well, my weekend went like this:
Friday: Worked
Saturday: didn’t get raptured (didn’t really expect it, but there you go). Watched the Cubs beat the Sox.
Sunday: church, and my wife being gone all day at her sister’s wedding shower. I spent the time moving things around in our house to prepare for us trying to sell it later this summer. Watched the Cubs get beat by the Sox.
Fell asleep in the recliner.
Woke up today to see that 80 some people died in midwest from tornadoes again. Seriously, floods, tornadoes, earthquakes. Somebody has to take this Algore guy out before all of us die.

Fenway – No worries. Our border fence is basically complete. Obama said so!
Picky – Wiped out an entire town. Damn that Dorothy and her little dog, too!

Oh, and I took your quiz, Wyatt. I got 134. Probably not fair though, because learning the countries of the world was a big part of my bachelor’s degree.

Picky – I blanked on Africa. That killed me.

Wait…you mean Africa isn’t just one big country?
(it might as well be).

The storms that spawned the tornadoes in Joplin hit here. I am thankful that no tornado hit us. We kept the fire radio close because people have a talent of developing terminal stupidity during storms like this. “Let’s go outside and watch!”
In other news, I turned my keys in for the shelter. As did every other advocate and the board president. Lies, financial mismanagement (nice way of putting it), and breach of confidentiality. I reached my breaking point.
So, I have made an enemy with someone who locally has strings and power. At best, I’ve black-balled myself in the county. At worst, I am probably going to have my house burned down here soon. I’m talented.
But, wrong is wrong and I don’t care who you are. (That’s where I get myself in trouble. I don’t get impressed with names and titles or former titles like former mayor or former fire chief or former head of emergency management.)

Kim – Good news that you guys are safe, but that sucks about the shelter. I don’t blame you at all for leaving. It seems like they didn’t have the victims’ best interests at heart.

85? You suck. 114 Wyatt. Say sumfin!

Dr. Evil – Oh, the Evil Artist must have taken the test for you. Or you’re an Africa-phile.

Asia man, I know it all. And Europe. Who the hell else has heard of Lichtenstein? And knows their cheif export is false teeth?

Dr. Evil – Southern rednecks know it, I’d bet.
