I didn’t much care for Asner, as he was a prominent libtard who actively supported cop killer Mumia abu-Jamal. That being said, you can’t argue with his success.
This, from Wikipedia:
Edward Asner was an American film, television, stage, and voice actor and former president of the Screen Actors Guild, primarily known for his Emmy Award-winning role as Lou Grant on both The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off series, Lou Grant.
A prominent member of the Democratic Socialists of America, Asner served two terms as president of the Screen Actors Guild, in which capacity during the 1980s he opposed US policy in Central America. He has also been active in a variety of other causes, such as the movement to free Mumia Abu-Jamal and the movement to establish single-payer health care in California, California One Care.
RIP, Ed. The official death notice is below the fold.
Asner’s not dead, but his career is on life support. Besides, even if he was six feet under, I certainly wouldn’t mention it. The man, in my opinion, is despicable.
