We Remember “Benny”
By Wyatt Earp | September 11, 2010
I would be remiss if I posted about the September 11th attacks without mentioning Keith A. Glascoe. Keith was in one of my favorite films, The Professional. In real life, he was a genuine hero.
Keith A. Glascoe was an actor who was also a real life NYC Firefighter. He was killed on September 11th, 2001, doing his duties as a member of the NYFD. He died rescuing people from the South Tower of the World Trade Center when it collapsed. The movie industry has lost many actors/actresses due to accidents, drug overdoses, suicide or (hopefully) old age. An actor rarely loses his life being a true hero.
A clip featuring Glascoe is below the fold.
Probably NSFW:
Godspeed, Keith, and thank you for your service. I will never forget you.

I didn’t know about Keith. A true hero, indeed. Thanks for posting this. May God grant him eternal peace.

Robert B. – I only found out a few months ago. I was stunned. I just thought he was an actor.
Fenway – A fantastic film. Oldman is way over the top, but it works here. The end of this clip, where Benny accidentally shoots his partners because he was scared was a nice piece of acting.

Old NFO – Agreed on both counts.

Yeah, I learned about Keith a couple of months ago. It was such a damn shame to lose him.
On a lighter note, congratulations on fixing the link in your nic at ace’s joint. No pun intended…
If it makes you feel better, several other commenters have the same mistake in their link. They had their web address, plus “minx.cc”
