Hunk of the day
By RT | August 19, 2010
I’m Scottish. I love to hear the accent. I often put Craig Ferguson on to hear the trills of the language. I remember when I was little that my great-grandmother called me and I was so struck by her accent that I couldn’t speak.
So, when I was trying to think of today’s hunk, I wanted to post someone that I find handsome, but also someone who makes me laugh, and while Craig Ferguson makes me laugh and is cute, Gerard Butler is the dark, humorous type that I like. Add to it his accent and his blue-ish green-ish eyes, and I’m cooked.

I love Craig Ferguson’s enthusiasm for the U.S. He finds the good in anything this country has to offer. He brings a perspective, as a someone who became a citizen well into adulthood that people born here lack.

My Dad was in the Navy, so I was fortunate enough to live in the Phillipeans for a couple of years, as well as do my own 4 year stint on an aircraft carrier. Got to see alot of the world and it gives you a perspective about America that makes you appreciate what we have in this country.

I’m a sucker for an accent. One day I will go to Scotland and just…enjoy.

I can’t understand a word they’re saying, but it still sounds nice.

Since you love Scottish accents may I recommend that you check out from the library a BBC – Scotland series called “Monarch of the Glen”. It’s about a Scottish family trying to keep their 800 year old castle in the family. It ran for 6 seasons from 1999 – 2005.
I think you might like it. The accents are so thick sometimes that you will be in Nirvana.
Is this the first picture from “Braveheart”?

No doubt. I think a lot of our ingrates need to travel the world to understand just how good we have it, so that they take better of it.

Meee toooooo! I have a few family establishments to visit.

Maybe it is better that way…less BS to muddle through. Heh.

I tried watching Monarch of the Glen when it was on BBC America. I just couldn’t get into it.
I’m not sure where the first picture came from. I think it might be Beowulf and Grendel, but he has been in several period pieces, so I’m not sure. I don’t think he was in Braveheart (was he?).

Since my maiden name is Ferguson….this makes me want to visit the “old country”. Perhaps there are more just like him…

The first one is from Atilla. Gerard Butler didn’t appear in Braveheart

It would be fun to find out, eh? Apparently I am related in some way to a family that still runs a scotch distillery. I don’t how or if it is true, but it would be neat to find out. I’ve never had scotch, but I think that would be an excuse to try it (and then probably puke).

AMEN!
