Thursday Morning Craziness

In case you haven’t noticed – and judging by the lack of e-mails and comments, you haven’t – this insipid little blog is approaching an unbelievable milestone. One. Million. Hits.
Yeah, I can’t believe it, either. Who knew I could hit “refresh” that many times? If my daily trends continue, the millionth visit will come sometime in the next seven days. When it happens, the following will occur:
1. I will pass out on the floor in a puddle of my own drool.
2. The lucky visitor – or closest identifiable visitor after the millionth – will receive a few prizes (that are yet to be determined).
3. I celebrate handily, and look forward to SYLG’s fifth anniversary on June 6th.
Of course, the mere mention of the milestone means that my site meter will die the day before I reach a million. If that happens, you folks get nothing! Heh.

For the record, the winning hit should arrive sometime on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Hopefully, I’ll be home to see it, or I’ll need Code Monkey to notify me on my cell.
And this is much more a testament to all of you than to me. Without you, I would still be hovering around three hits a day.
Jason – I use the Total Visits, not the Page Views on the Site Meter (below). Page Views are at 1.6 million.

Way to go, Wyatt. I knew I wasn’t alone here.
The missus & I are back in Texas, after doing some great steamed clams at Sandy’s Clam Bar in Glens Falls, NY. I was surprised…. she scarfed down three dozen to my two! (Free plug for one of my favourite waterholes on the planet. Heh.)

Congrats in advance Wyatt. I’m not going to get excited though, because your counter… well, it f-ing sucks mate. Last time I even had a screenshot that read 500,000 and like The Oracle to Neo you told me I was “not the one”.
This time I’ll just be glad for my old bloggin’ buddy’s milestone and not worry about being a winner. Being a loser is much easier.
