That cost is just for the rent of one of the 3 houses. Which did not need to be paid in Crawford. All of the security costs are the same or higher because of the “increased” danger that Obama is in since everyone loves us so much now that he is President.

With five comments in the past year it must be the latter. You really have the pulse of this blog. However, if you can't find a post here that is critical of President Bush, then you aren't looking hard enough. Heh, heh, "hard." How about this? You come back with the totals after Obama's eight years, and we'll compare and contrast? Because even a California liberal like you should realize that comparing the two after one year is completely unfair, right? If it was not, we could assume that Obama's final unemployment numbers would be what, 80 percent? Hell, his approval numbers would be approaching Herbert Hooverville. And with the current state of the California economy, pretty soon even you will be jumping off the Obama bandwagon.

$4,000 a night. Times 365 nights a year. Times 8 years (you can see where we’re going here…).
$11,680,000.
How much was spent on remodeling/refurbishing/security upgrades at the Crawford Ranch over 8 years? Plus Secret Service? Plus staff? Plus the frequent comings and goings and extended stays?
Want to take a wild guess?
$11,680,000 doesn’t even come close. And Bush’s stays at Crawford totaled just 2 years out of the 8 years. Want to average the total over 2 years instead of 8?
Go ahead, google it. I look forward to that post, and how “freakin’ unbelievable” it is.

The place he rented in Martha’s Vineyard went for something like $35- 50,000 a week. At four grand a night, $28 K /a week is bargain hunting next to Obama’s Excellent Summer Vacation!
The fact that the country is in recession and unemployment is through the roof, America still needs to see that its CinC is pampered, well tended and out of touch with the experiences of the peasants.
