How I Spent My Snow Day
By Wyatt Earp | December 21, 2009
Today is the first day of my Christmas vacation. I took off from work for the next nine days to spend Christmas with the kids and not some North Philly thugs. So, what did I do? Well, schools were closed, so I figured I’d help the kids build a snowboard track in front of the house. To wit . . .
Kyle has a year under his belt, so the bunny hill wasn’t much for him. Note the attempted 180 at the end:
This is Erik’s first year on the board, but he did surprisingly well:
After a while, Kyle wanted me to build a snow ramp. Hey, it’s his funeral, right? Here’s the obligatory wipeout:
All in all, it’s not a bad way to start vacation.

Becky – Thanks. It’s cool watching them snowboard. Wish I could do it, but I’m not coordinated enough.

RT – If I can help it, I won’t work another Christmas again. With 15 years on now, I’ve earned it.

GroovyVic – Glad I could make it a tad better.
MeToo – Yeah, the boys are fairly indestructible, plus I threw some more loose snow at the bottom for cushioning.
