Sully – Orr was fantastic, but I still prefer Gretzky. Lemieux was awesome, too.

I enjoy your blog very much but one thing that annoys me is when you say ice hockey. its hockey period .everything else is to hockey. ice skating,roller hockey etc. please just refer to it as hockey. thank you from the hometown of aaron asham.

Gretzky is a legend.

If Lindros hadn’t ruined his career with injuries and all the crap between him and Clarke, I think he would have been up there with the greats.

That dude had the size of an enforcer and the stick handling and finesse of a small skater. Not too many hockey players like him these days.

Crosby and Ovie are great, but I want to see a new star who has it all, like Lindros did back in the 90′s.

Agreed. Gretzky would be second, then either Lemieux, Howe or Richard.

I’d then put Beliveau, Harvey, Lafleur, Morenz and Hull in that order.

That’s a lot of Habs.

Becky – I had the pleasure of seeing him play in his later years with the Hartford Whalers, and his son, Mark, is one of the best defensemen in Flyers history.

Randal – He seemed a tad bitter. It’s a shame, because Gretz idolized Gordie.

Last night the current Red Wings beat the Kings 5-2. Gordy still reigns supreme, he played with his son at age 50, Chris Chelios is trying to beat that record. If only Gretzy was a Wing!
