9-Year Old Scores An Unbelievable Goal
By Wyatt Earp | October 15, 2009
When you watch this, remember – the kid is 9 years old!
Oliver Wahlstrom’s shootout attempt in the Boston Bruins “TD Bank Mini 1-on-1″ competition begins as expected: Deliberate skating to the puck before picking up speed into the zone. But once he gets between the faceoff circles … well, let’s just say we wouldn’t have been shocked to see him pull a rabbit out of his helmet before sawing a woman in half. This is hockey magic.
Wow, not a thing the goaltender can do on that one.
Not too shabby for a 9 year old, eh? Your heart has to go out to the goalie, though, who’s probably still frozen in his crease as we speak. (H/T – Puck Daddy)
Amazing. I don’t think there is a person on my hockey team – which consists of guys who have been playing for 20+ years – that could pull that one off.

That’s probably because none of you ever thought to do it that way. The beauty of the young is that they don’t have any precocieved notions about how to do things. Great isn’t it.
Saw that on ESPN last night. Amazing, I wanted them to slow it down so I could see how he scooped it.
i loved the body language of the goalie “where did it go!?”
kids got talent for sure.
Wow. You gotta love watching kids.
JimB – It is. I don’t do stuff like that because I just don’t wanna . . .
cbullitt – I can scoop it up if I’m standing still. While skating? Not so much.
TBB – All he could do was shrug his shoulders.
Ingineer66 – They make something fun look even moreso.
I’m about 99.9% certain – that kid is a witch!
Every time I watched his move, a “Whoa!!” came out. Fantastic!!
Caleb – Burn him!!!
Robin – Even with the replays, I watched the entire video twice.
Friggin’ Amazing!
I’ve been playing hockey for 12 years and I could never pull that off…
I give up haha
Saw that this morning and watched it about 20 times trying to figure out how the hell he did it.
It’ll be interesting to see if the kid gets drafted in six years…
Teetop – Yeah, it’s hella-awesome!
Andrew – Nor could I.
Sully – Remember the name. He could be wearing the Bruins black and gold someday.
Not just is that shot amazing, but he has a maturity about his skating that you don’t see on a lot of kids. Wow!
