Gibbs Cries After FOX Doesn’t Carry Speech

Is there a bigger douche in America that White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs? That folks, is a serious question.
Here he is whining that FOX will not carry the president’s umpteenth ObamaCare speech – like FOX is the only channel on the dial. About 50 other networks are broadcasting this tripe, including FOXNews. Not that that fact matters to Gibbsy:
Pity the poor viewer whose television doesn’t pick up CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, FNC, or MSNBC and is forced to choose between spending the evening huddled over a radio or watching “So You Think You Can Dance.” Anyone doubt that Fox is going to win the time slot easily, incidentally, and reap a nice advertising windfall in the process? Money may grow on trees in ObamaWorld but the Murdoch empire still has a bottom line to worry about. Although Gibbs is right that it’s a sad commentary on our times how some Americans would prefer to watch a reality show than hear the 57th dishonest iteration of “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.” That’s the whole subtext of the speech, after all — that people were too stupid to understand Obama the first thousand times he talked about this and only if he beats it into their skulls once again will they finally see the true wisdom of his vision. It’s sheer contempt for the intelligence of voters, but what do you expect? The guy’s all out of moves. He might as well try to charisma his way to a bill.
Alahpundit is exactly right here. It’s a shame Robert Gibbs – and a lot of other ObamaCareBots – doesn’t see that.
Oh, and that speech? Just what I thought it would be: more of the same health care pablum Obama has been spewing for weeks now. Next!

It’s not quite the same. Some time between last month’s version of the speech & last night’s, he magically insured 17 million people!

Bitter, the number gets changed for dramatic effect every time he gives the speech. 10 months ago, during the campaign, it was 35 million. I’ve heard it hit as much as 62 million recently.
And somehow it’s all still free!

He lowered the number of uninsured to deflect criticism that his plan covers illegal aliens. Of course the plan still doesn’t include any provisions for verifying the immigration/citizenship status of patients, so whatever he says about the subject in his many speeches is basically irrelevant.

I wish someone would change Gibb’s diaper and stick his pacifier back in his…well, wherever he’d like it best, where he’d shut up and go away. The urge to slap someone on television has never been so strong as it is when he appears.

Actually, my TV doesn’t pick up any of those channels, since the switch to digital. Oh, yes, I have a converter, but since there isn’t anything on I care to see, I haven’t bothered hooking it up yet. Maybe someday.

Little Bobby Gibbs is just upset because his boss is so worthless at selling Obamacare poor Bob will end up selling used cars and wearing one of those horrible plaid sport coats from the 80′s. Now there’s a good look for Bobby!

As Kate says, Scott MacLellan was close, but I think Joe Lockhart was just as bad.
That was one weaselly dude, he was Clinton’s press secretary and he couldn’t lie but he could be a weasel.
Just like Gibbs.
