A Quick Prayer Request
By Wyatt Earp | September 28, 2009
What is it with my family and hospitals?
By the time you read this, the missus and I will once again be at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, this time for our 19-month old son, Kevin (above). We have to go down there for an evaluation of the little guy’s, eh, plumbing. Like Kyle before him, Kevin has a testicle that hasn’t yet dropped.
Hopefully, unlike Kyle before him, Kevin won’t have to go under the knife. Kyle had surgery there when he was four, and that was a nightmare – more for us than for him. We certainly do not want to relive that awful experience.
So, with any luck, the docs will say that in time, the other testicle will drop. Please pray for that result. Of course, with our family’s luck, we’ll have to take the boy into surgery. I’ll keep you updated.
UPDATE: The urologist at CHOP looked him over and thinks he is going to be fine. It hasn’t dropped yet, but he doesn’t think surgery will be necessary. For the time begin, we’re in a “wait and see” mode. Thanks for the good thoughts and prayers!

Kevin and all y’all are in my prayers. It’s good to hear the ball will probably drop, but a few more good thoughts can’t hurt.
