It’s Weigh Day!
By Wyatt Earp | December 20, 2008
Well, last week sucked. I ballooned up 2.5 pounds to a whopping 198. I was so depressed that I ate an entire pizza topped with Butterfingers all by myself.
Okay, not really, but I wasn’t happy with myself at all. The weather hampered my walking, but I did manage to do a couple of three-mile strolls last week. It must have helped a little, because I am down a pound this week. As of this morning’s weigh-in, I am at 197 pounds.
That’s down 39 pounds since January 1st. I still want to get below 190 - and, optimally, below 185 - but that may happen once I get skating again. My new ice skates came yesterday - and they kick ass - and I expect to get on the ice both Monday and Tuesday. I need to be in hockey shape for our first game back from Christmas break (January 4th).
So again, I’m down a pound, still a little frustrated, but hopeful for the future. I suspect the others are hopeful as well.
RT has everyone’s progress HERE.

Timmeehh - Let me say this: Sometimes it’s good to be a cop.
E.L. - I walked three miles today, and the temperature outside was 26 degrees. It was tough, since I was feeling frostbite coming on, but I did it.
Christmas will be a bear. Mom-in-Law is making her famous lasagna. YUMMAY!

mmmmm lasagna!
One helping. Just one helping! (At a time)
Good for you on the loss. Let you know tomorrow how I did.
I believe I was 185 back in 8th grade. In 1963.

It’s amazing how getting back on the wagon returns results.
I get cocky when I lose a few pounds then start thinking a little of this and a little of that is ok. If I don’t get back on the wagon right away it’s lights out!
Well done.

Cut yourself a little slack, especially during this time of year. I’m eating like a little piggie and loving it, feeling my arse get wider and wider with every CSI episode I watch.
Good times…gooooood times!

Joated - I’ll probably try to skate just beofre dinner to speed up the metabolism. Heh.
Mare - Thanks. Gotta work harder, but I’m trying. And again, any time at the rink will help matters greatly.
RT - Baby steps, right?
GroovyVic - It’s not my arse - that’s like an apple - it’s my stomach, which needs to get smaller.

At least you are starting now until waiting for 48 and then being told “Do it or Die” and then you end up dying from trying.

[...] other positive news, Wyatt has lost a pound this week, and I can once again wear my black, double-breasted cashmere sport [...]

Admiral - Well, I’m 39 and I expect to be playing hockey for another 11 years. I’ll think about hanging up the skates when I’m 50.

I dropped three pounds this week, due to HORRIBLE VIOLENT ILLNESS. I don’t recommend that. You’re doing it right. If I don’t stop catching stomach bugs, I’m gonna drop to double-digits.
