Poor kid. I’d be willing to bet that there were some who begged him not to kill himself. But with the media more bloodthirsty than a Roman crowd at the gladiator bouts, we won’t know.

When what I value – willing to stay alive and care for to the best of my ability – is mocked by current culture and media then I am not surprised that young person had nothing to live for except the notice of how stupidly he died.

But we don’t teach honor, responsibility and duty anymore – or that culture on the television doesn’t, I know where it is taught but it is almost a secret place and television is never really invited in there.
