Looking Ahead To 2012

Well, the Election of 2008 has come and gone – Thank God – and already, some politicians are looking ahead to 2012. I am not one of them, since politics is just under Oprah Winfrey in my “interesting stories” file. However, two of the presumed candidates have generated a lot of interest, and I figured I had better get in on the ground floor.

Sure, they are definitely Beltway outsiders, but I like their message:

Laura Roslin is the current President of the Colonies, and while she is stationed aboard Battlestar Galactica, I can really identify with her “Airlock” platform. All criminals, terrorists, and other enemies of the state will immediately be shoved out an airlock to their deaths. Me likey!

As cutthroat as a Roslin administration would be, though, I am leaning toward endorsing this fine gentleman – because he actually does cut throats:

Think about it. The Joker comes from a criminal background, so he would already be a step ahead of Capitol thugs like William Jefferson and Larry Craig. The economy would benefit, because The Joker’s enterprises are always in the black, and when someone crosses him – or America – he would never hesitate to react. Can you say “Disappearing Pencil Trick?”

For me, he is just the man to lead us into the new decade. (H/T – Right Wing Prof)

THIS JUST IN: Due to recent revelations, I hereby throw my support to the only candidate who can kick The Joker’s ass. Namely, Dorkelina. She just announced her candidacy, and I cannot argue with her qualifications. Of course, adding The Joker as a V.P. candidate will seal the deal.
