Dorothy Krysiuk Is Leaving Fox 29!

This is not happening. THIS IS NOT HAPPENING!
As regular readers can tell you, Dorothy is the traffic gal on the local FOXNews affiliate. She’s dreamy, and I love her. (Figuratively, of course - I’m not a stalker.) There is no one in the tri-state area that is a bigger fan of hers than I. And that is why I am depressed today.
According to industry sources, the traffic jam between Dorothy Krysiuk and Fox29 was over hours, as management wanted Krysiuk to add the 5 p.m. show to her day. Krysiuk is the traffic person for “Good Day Philadelphia,” which begins at 5 a.m.
Other traffic reporters such as John Ogden of NBC10 and Bob Kelly of CBS3 work the morning and evening shifts.
Krysiuk did not immediately return an email and Fox29 also did not respond to a previous email about why Krysiuk was leaving the station.
Krysiuk, a Temple University graduate worked for Fox29 since 2001, and before that was on Channel 10. (H/T - Laura Nachman by way of RT)
As terrific as it would be to see Dorothy once every twelve hours, I can’t condemn her for not wanting to do both shows. (Of course, I couldn’t condemn her if she came on this blog and told me my writing made her violently ill. This is Dorothy we’re talking about!) Putting in a 12+ hour workday would be terrible for her hair that resembles spun gold, her alabaster skin, and her sunny disposition.
Sources are saying that Dorothy wants to “take a break from television,” and will not be signing on with another outlet. You thought I was grumpy and miserable in the mornings now? Wait until you see me without my daily dose of Dorothy!
Somewhere, the other angels are crying.
Wow, I am really going to miss her.

Wow. She is lovely. I know what you mean. Something about a beautiful woman with a winning smile just makes it easier to start the day. I’m a fan of Hedline News’ Robin Meade myself. Maybe she can be your surrogate?

I’m glad that I emailed her when I did and told her that she was the only reason I watched fox in the morning. Since she’s left I don’t think I’ve watched. She actually responded to the email as well in the same day which surprised me but just goes to show you how her beauty isn’t just skin deep. Everybody will miss her.

I had not got the news. I kept checking in on Monday morning to see if she was back from vacation. I am making the switch. Although I enjoy Sue Serio, I tuned into to watch Dorothy. She was cheerful and pleasant every morning. Will miss her.

I am thinking about going back to Channel 6 also. I wondered if she was on vaction but after the 2nd week I thought something was up. BIG BUSINESS SUCKS. I hope everyone stops watching Fox. She was the best. She should go on another station and take all of her followers along with her.

I’ve been wondering where she was and decided to check out the myfoxphilly website. I had a sinking feeling when she wasn’t listed among the station’s personalities. I like Sue also, but watched for Dorothy. Dorothy - please consider signing with another station, WE MISS YOU!

I too, Dave, thought that she was on vacation and I said something to my wife after two weeks and she said that “remember the time she was out for a while due to her back, perhaps its that again” but I would not believe it and then I found this website and many more like it.
FOX really screwed up! I have been reading hundreds of posts like this and there are a LOT of very unhappy people. FOX can add one more viewer to the GONE LIST; I ‘m gonna go check out Robin Meade.
I hope Dorothy does not wait too long to come back, the other local networks should see these posts and they might realize that Dorothy would be a large draw.

I think it’s safe to say that I am not the only one who misses Dorothy. For those of you who are interested in her whereabouts, I wish I could oblige you. the fact of the matter is that she left Fox 29 and has not signed on with another station . . . yet. Hopefully, she’ll come back, and come back to a Philly station.

Dorothy was the most attractive, smart, confident, and tender person ever to be on a local news cast show. I think the FOX network is only thinking about their wallets. Because it they were not, they would see all of the intangibles that she brings to the table. I loved to watch her from my cold bed and begin to re-generated my morning by her smile. I would dream about her long flowing hair and picture a warm summers day with a cool summer night ahead. This woman is mystifying to the detective and persuasive to the introvert. She is smart and funny and will likely land on her feet. Of all of the things that I will miss most…will be her sweet pretty face.

If you watch for the traffic reports and not just to look at DK you’ll notice that Jamie is far BETTER! She can actually read the prompter without tripping over every other word and does the reports with some enthusiasm. I like her.

you must be a woman to not get THE BIG PICTURE. Dorothy’s voice and personality was a gigantic ray of sunshine every morning. If I wanted to see someone read copy of a prompter I’d tuned in to Channel 17 months ago.

Well I don’t normally care, but I have to admit that it has been enjoyable watching Dorothy do the morning traffic each morning. Very pleasant voice and demeanor, quite attractive both physically and, to whatever extent one can tell on television, in her personality. It’s a shame to see her leave. But undoubtedly, she will be moving on to something better for her and that will open new doors for her. I have no doubt that she will continue to be successful. Good luck, Dorothy!
Side note: Saw the new traffic “person” this morning; small body, large head, and a voice that is absolutely grating. Not trying to be unkind; that’s just my opinion. Ciao.

I really liked Dorothy ,too and think she had a great rapport with Sue and everyone else.
I loved George Mallet and cannot believe they let him get

The new traffic person is TERRIBLE! What an awful, grating, nasal, annoying voice. I thought Dorothy was adorable and very easy on the eyes…something of a budding superstar in Philadelphia. I have wondered why she never seemed to move higher on the Philadelphia media food chain but it seems from this story, she’s not a career churner and burner. Good for her. Seems like she has balance.

I too am an animal lover and the new um ” I will miss “Hot Dot” but the ” new um, “Gelfllng” seems pleasant enough. If she wears more revealing clothes I might hang on but . But please cover that face with a Dorothy mask.

I just found out she left. I was wondering where she was on the morning show me and my husband were like where is Dorothy? My 2 year old when she was a baby would cry alot in the morning and as soon as I would put Dorothy on she would stop we all loved her she will be missed!

I, too, am very disappointed to find out that Dorothy has left Fox. Kept tuning in, hoping she was just on vacation, got suspicious, and now come to find out she is gone. She was great and I will miss her. She and Sue had a great rapport. Good for her though that she was not pushed into doing something she did not want to do.

I’ve been checking in every morning hoping that Dorothy would be back to brighten my morning. My morning commute is always the same…422 west bound backed up from 23 but seeing Dorothybefore leaving for work made the drive bearable.
I decided to search the web…all hope is gone. What are they thinking at FOX29? Fox has cut its nose off to spit its face.
Dorothy, you will be missed. Good luck and good for you for taking a stand anainst corporate America.

If it is possible for a person to actually fall in love with someone on TV whom they’ve never met…I did. Dorothy was my only reason for watching FOX news in the morning. She has the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen…and that voice…I could listen to her all day.
I’ve switched to Morning Express with Robin Meade. I love you Dorothy and will miss seeing and hearing you every 15 min in the morning. Good luck with future ventures.

I miss Dorothy. The new girl doesn’t measure up. I loved the way Dorothy gave that beautiful blink of her eye before signing off. I loved her reports with the Fire Fighters, and what a great personality.

I agree with all the posts. Definitely an uplifting and cheery disposition. Furthermore, her interactions with others especially Sue Serio were so genuine. I truly felt like I was among family members. That’s something very special and doesn’t come across very often. Dorothy, I wish you well in you future endeavors, you’ll be missed.

So glad to finally know what happened to Dorothy. We miss her, and as others have already said, find the replacement, Jamie annoying and grating. I think she is trying to hard to be bubbly and cute, and ends up rambling. Dorothy is a hard act to follow, and unfortunately Jamie will never be Dorothy. We also only watch Good Morning to see Sue Serio and Dorothy, and also George Mallet, who we miss too. Fox management just got greedy if its true they wanted Dorothy to do the evening traffic as well. So glad Dorothy had the good sense to “just say no”. If you see this Dorothy, good luck and be assured, if you do go to another Philly station, we’ll be joining you.

Dorothy is greatly missed everywhere, obviously!! Especially by the FEDEX crew who gathered everymorning in the breakroom to start their day right!! We were about to send a request to FOX to have Dorothy do FEDEX FRIDAYS…Im jealous of those fireguys who had the honor of having the beautiful Dorothy in their presence..haha!! Well goo djob FOX..ya’s made Dorothy click her heels ONE time…and she said “THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME” cause that’s where ya sent her!!! SHAME ON YA’S!! I am an inveterate morning news surfer, so I have no loyalty to any one show, station, network, or anchor. But when I would click into Ch. 29 and see Dorothy Krysiuk, I would stop and savor the entire experience and know my day would be better for having seen her.
And only now I have just learned she is GONE! G_O_N_E!!! Pain! Misery! Agony and woe! And on my birthday too. (Sob!) But I take some comfort in knowing that others share my sadness and will miss her too.
Best of luck to you, Dorothy, whatever you may end up doing, and thanks for all the years of brightening my days. It helps just to know someone like you walks the earth.

I think people need to give Jamie a fair chance.
She seems to be very personable and does a good job.
It must be difficult to look cute, perky and knowledeable
at 5 am in the morning..and then do the same great job
at 5 pm in the evening. (I hope she gets to take a nap during the day)
I don’t know if she is Dorothy’s permanent replacement, but I do think we need to give her a chance…like Jennapher Frederick… I think Jamie is her own person
who brings her own unique personality..and she is doing
a good job presenting traffic (a “boring” subject that requires a cute, personable touch) Give Jamie our support.. she didn’t make Dorothy leave…so give Jamie a chance.

A former viewer from the George & Kerri-Lee days who left when odd name Frederick got too much face time, I tuned in and saw the new face yesterday. Dorothy hooked me back on the old set when she worked with only head shots and the interaction with the camera was superb. Best to ya Dorothy. Saw the replacement, very average, but I think most replacements would - like a bicycle after owning a Harley.

DK will be very missed!!!!! I hate to say this about anyone, but I find Jamie to be very annoying! I agree she is new and maybe her voice will get less annoying later on in her career. I wish her luck…but she needs to stop trying to hard!

I went to florida the first of November for a few weeks and when I got back she was gone. I too thought she had back problems again or was off on vacation for the thanksgiving holiday. I just surfed the net to find out she was GONE. that new girl is so annoying - she sounds like a bad cartoon. WHERE’S DOROTHY? If Sue goes that’s it for me and MY FOX PHILLY.

I really liked Dorothy….it was very refreshing to see her do the traffic every morning. I was in DC visiting my parents a few years ago, and their Fox affiliate traffic person is a beast…sorry DC. But, I really am going to miss Dorothy. I love everyone on GDP…John, Sheinelle, Sue…and even the new traffic girl is OK. I mean I remember she used to do fill-ins for Dorothy, when she was on vacation. Jamie has definitely stepped up her dress, make-up, & hair game, since becoming permanent on the station. I guess she realized she had to step up her image, if she wanted to be given a shot. I’m proud of Dorothy, though. Dorothy, bigger and better things are coming for you. Jamie, you are doing a great job so far…keep up the good work.

Add me to the fan-of-Dorothy roster. She was truly a ray of sunshine in the morning; I was even willing to endure Sue Serio’s grating prattle to get to Dorothy’s reports. I suspected something bad had happened, and have already stopped watching Fox in the morning - KYW for me from here on in.

I finally had to google Dorothy to find out what the hell happened to her? I hope she’s coming back and soon! I would tune in even though I didn’t care about the traffic. I’d like to see her doing sports or maybe co-anchoring.

I am saddened that my dear Dorothy has had some trying times on Fox 29 news. I, like so many others, enjoyed watching her in the morning doing the traffic updates. I often told my wife that Dorothy had a very pleasent smile and always seemed to make my day a little brighter. She will be missed by me and others who feel the same as I. Fox would be smart to do what ever is necessary to bring her back in what ever capacity she agrees to. As for my relationship with fox news, I will boycott my veiwership until she is brought back.

I too am saddened about Dorothy’s departure. But I can’t say I’m not surprised … this is the second time in a year FOX29 has let go a great morning personality. First it was Clayton who was replaced by the current John Anderson. Now it’s Dorothy. I’m back to watching NBC10 in the mornings. Not as stodgy.

Yeah, like someone stated, I looked up the personalities on Fox and saw she wasn’t there. I thought she either got married or something or was sick….NOT THAT SHE LEFT!!! Ch29 blew it big time. Rather than offer Dottie a shot at replacing that mutant fishhead woman Jennaphr at the anchor desk, they try to tether her to the traffic post for 12 hrs. She was the only reason any male with a pulse even watches that cruddy show. Now it’s a worthless churning of pathetic egos and mindless chatter that tries to pass itself off as ‘news.’ Maybe that silly mad cow Sue Serio can do double duty, and replace that midget weasel who’s doing traffic now…..

Get down on your knees and beg her to come back! Dorothy was the best reason for tuning in. I won’t even bother looking anymore. Well, maybe just a little.

This new girl sounds like a nasal drip, possibly the size of her nose, she has no class! DK was in a world class all her own. Foxmanagement, you have made a grave error, she’ll be replaced by someone else but by that time you may have made enough mistaikes and miscues so as never be able to recover. The viewers are terminating your station in a methodical manner, easily said, you’re headed south!

What about Michelle Buckman’s “Real Deal” segment? Doesn’t her plight to save the world by filling you with worthless knowlegde make it worth watching?

that “fishhead woman Jennaphr” AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!! I thought I was the only one who thought she looked odd! YEAH! WHY COULDN’T THEY REPLACE HER WITH DOROTHY!?That is a good idea! I never liked Jennaphr (something about her eyes…) and the new traffic woman is just a total wash out. No pizzazz, her clothes are horrible and I don’t like her face…surely not the golden Sunshine Dorothy was!
