War is not pretty, heroic, or even right in some cases. No one really wants it, but it happens and we need to get over our MTV five minute attention spans and deal.

They had just better be glad they are in the US, in a number of countries they would have been imprisoned or shot for protesting… We do have free speech, sometimes practiced at the most inopportune times by the LWL and their ilk, because they know they can get away with it and get on TV… sigh…

Admiral – Actually, I think Clinton called a cab for Lewinsky after her fouled her. Heh.

GroovyVic – I don’t know why, either. If they were heckling something a relative of mine was attending, I would have freaked out.

Marvin – Yeah, I would think compared to Stalin, Khrushchev, and Brezhnev, Bush looks like Mother Theresa to them.

Randal – Luckily, Obama will end the war and bring the troops home immediately. Oh wait, he flip-flopped on that issue, too.

I want to clarify one thing, I respect and am saddened by the loss of the more then 4,000 in Iraq. I just refuse to believe that taking casualties in war, rather that war is justified or was a mistake, is incomparable to making our leaders fascist. If that is the case, then many of America’s greatest leaders were fascist, and the Nazis were something far worse then fascist.

Of those 4,112, how many were to secret police, mass starvation, or as science experiments? How many were turned into lamp shades, had their hair made into rope, or were used as sex toys for storm troopers? How many were forced to move to an icy cold climate, wearing clothing that was better suited for rags, and made to dig in the frozen ground with bare hands, because the local commissar forgot to feel out the proper paper work for shovels? How many were dragged away in the middle of the night, for the crime of hoarding money, or listening to an illegal radio station? This is what it takes to be a fascist, not screwing up intelligence, and using bad strategy in a war, or any of the other things Bush has done.
