It’s Weigh Day!
By Wyatt Earp | June 21, 2008

I rule!
With one week left in our Weight Loss Challenge, I finally broke the 200 mark! As you can see from the picture above, I weighed in this morning at 198 pounds. That’s down 38 pounds since January 1st, and I am within striking distance of a 40-pound loss by next week.
And speaking of next week, our six-month contest ends on June 30th. I know many of the competitors have not been posting their updates, but hopefully, everyone will post their final numbers. As for winning this thing, who knows? I know I am making progress, but so is RT, and the winner is determined by the percentage of weight lost, not the acutal poundage. We’ll see.
Win or lose, I’m pretty proud of my progress. Pretty soon, I may not be as hideous looking as I used to be . . . Thank you, Weight Watchers!
Oh, and on a related note, stop by First In! today. I had the honor of writing the Captain’s 1,000th post!

Admiral – Thanks, man. I would still like to lose more – which is why I’m staying on Weight Watchers after the contest – but I feel a lot better now.

Weight Watchers eh? My version of weight watchers has been downing guinness, chowing totinos pizza rolls and watching my weight climb. I’ve never in my life had to watch my weight cuz I’ve always been skinny as a rail… OBVIOUSLY that is no longer the case…
Congrats on the accomplishment my man, I need to jump on that bandwagon although I can no longer jump and if I could I’d destroy the back of the bandwagon…
What I need is an adjustment to my routine… we now are the proud owners of a $1200 clothes hanger which was sold to us as a treadmill. Perhaps I should dust that puppy off and figure out how it works.
…again congrats, you just may be my inspiration… the wind beneath my wings… or is that you just passing gas… not sure yet… I don’t smell nothing. I need to drop about 25 lbs and I’ll be back to my rip roaring self.
Keep up the good work!

Awesome!
I’ve just added walking back to my routine. It’ll be interesting to see the result come July 7th (my next “weigh day”)

YAY! I’m proud of you! Just think of how much you can keep up with Kyle, Erik, and Kevin!
That’s awesome.

You go girl!
Sorry, but I am too in love with food to give anything up or cut back!
You’re doing great!

Peak – Thanks, man! I’m walking two miles a day with Kevin in the stroller, and have been jogging, too. It’s nice to get out of fat pants.
John D – Thanks. I’ll post a before and after pic at the end of this contest.
Trek – It’s been working for me – with the hockey – and it’s easier on the knees than running.
Prof – You’re tall, though. You’ll get there. If I can lose weight, anyone can.
RT – They still kill me when playing soccer, but it’s not a blowout anymore.
Snigs – Thanks!
MMP – Thanks, deary!

Caveman82952 – Thank you, sir! And no, it is not easy . . .
Becky – Good for you! I knew you’d be able to do it, since you only had to lose, what, five pounds?
