The Most Ridiculous Lawsuit Of All Time

By Wyatt Earp | October 10, 2011

A Michigan woman is suing the makers of the film “Drive” – and her local theater – because she said the movie’s trailer had very little driving in it. She believes that the trailers were misleading.

Most people’s gripe about trailers these days is that they blow too much info about a film’s plot. But not Sarah Deming. This Michigan resident is suing the distributor of the critically acclaimed Ryan Gosling thriller Drive – as well as the cinema where she saw it – claiming it was publicized as a Fast and Furious style action piece but turned out to be nothing of the sort.

In her suit, which was filed at the sixth judicial circuit court in Oakland, Michigan, Deming says the Nicolas Winding Refn film “bore very little similarity to a chase, or race action film … having very little driving in the motion picture”.

Get this: Deming also claimed the film was “anti-Semitic.”

Look, I’m all for sticking it to Hollywood. Lord knows they’ve been pumping out a lot of crap lately. But this suit is completely frivolous, and a waste of everyone’s time.

I’m suing the Makers of “Looking for Mr. Goodbar”. I thought it was about candy bars. Instead it is about Richard Gere raping a woman.

While I am at it, I am also suing Richard Gere, I thought he was a little more laid back then that.

This reminds me….. I’m gonna sue the estate of John Steinbeck.

In the story “The Red Pony”, the pony died on page 3.

And I thought the “Grapes of Wrath” was about winos.

    LDIV – I predict she will win . . . nothing.

Ferrell – Reservoir Dogs? Not one dog make the final cut. Not one!

JT – Did you see any rodents in Of Mice And Men?

Orbitup – Never thought Sascha Cohen was funny – at all.

Wes S. – Yet another get-rich-quick scheme from a dullard.

She is hoping they will give her some money to shut up and go away. I hope she does not get a damn thing.
