It’s True: Costco Charges Less

By Wyatt Earp | August 23, 2011

Especially since they removed the chargers for hemp-fueled, stinking hippie-inspired electric cars.

I’ll give Costco a little credit for trying to get in on the bottom floor of new technology. Unfortunately, the technology they sided with was useless – and as unpopular as a full body massage from a naked Helen Thomas. And like someone getting a full body massage from that troll, Costco realized their mistake.

Costco, the membership warehouse-club chain, was an early leader in offering electric-vehicle charging to its customers, setting an example followed by other retailers, including Best Buy and Walgreen. By 2006, Costco had installed 90 chargers at 64 stores, mostly in California but also some in Arizona, New York and Georgia.

Yet just as plug-in cars like the Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt enter the market, Costco is reversing course and pulling its chargers out of the ground, explaining that customers do not use them.

“We were early supporters of electric cars, going back as far as 15 years. But nobody ever uses them,” said Dennis Hoover, the general manager for Costco in northern California. (H/TSmite)

If they want to make their money back, they should install candy machines where the chargers were. Because unlike electric cars, everyone loves M&M’s!

If they ever invent a car that runs on tobacco juice, Costco can install spittoons in their Georgia stores.

    Wyatt. Wyatt. Wyatt.

I’m going to have to brush my teeth at least twice and drink a whole bottle of Scope to get the vomit taste out of my mouth. Then there’s the brain bleach.

The word “naked” doesn’t belong in the same sentence as that name. I had to name Helen Thomas here in the next sentence so I wouldn’t make OTHERS throw up.

I don’t know about you anymore, Man. First you post pictures with boobs hanging out, and then this. Something’s not right in Philly. :-D

Well at least Linsay could stop and recharge her vibrator
without waiting in line in Cali.

They would go a long way by removing their signs prohibiting the carrying of firearms on their premises too. Costco owners James Sinegal and Jeffrey Brotman are too left wing for me and I won’t go there because I don’t like being told my CCW is no good in their store.

Then there’s the image of Helen Thomas na…. Oh crap, I can’t even write that. I have to go pour acid into my eyes so I can never see again.

Picky – Yeah, even as I was writing it I knew it would get a reaction. Sorry about that.

    Jon – *shudder*

TonyF – One would think state law would overrule their idiotic signs, but then again, why bother with them?
