The Force Is Strong In TomTom

By Wyatt Earp | July 22, 2010

A TomTom GPS system? Want this, I do!

Awesome. This, from their site:

Lord Vader commands you to turn to the Dark Side. Will you be able to resist as he guides you to your destination? Obi-Wan has taught you well but now it is time to choose your path. Light sabers at the ready! (H/TSmite)

But wait, there’s more!

Apparently, they also have Homer Simpson, Stewie Griffin, and Mr. T!

Wouldn’t Darth only take you to the darkest places, though?

How about Ozzy Osbourne or Fran Dresher?

(Sam Elliot’s voice would be cool, though….or Jack Nicholson.)

How about the voice of Foster Brooks (no relation) for those driving drunk?

  9. John D Says:

Or the voice of Patrick Stewart, who would follow each command with either “engage” or “make it so.”

And let’s not forget William Shatner: “Turn… right… three blocks ahead. Go… three miles… until you… cometoastoplight. Then… go left.”

One of my wife’s coworkers had their young daughter say the words for the GPS. They were down in San Diego and the thing said Turrrrnn Weft. Only the parent could understand some of the directions.

Mrs. Crankipants – There is something really wrong with you, woman!

John D – They couldn’t get him in the studio with pants on.

    Ferrell – Now? Probably not.

    Smite – Or even .

    RT – “Go straight into downtown Detroit . . . ”

Roger – But there would always be a mole giving you the wrong directions.

Jon – Lance Henrikson from Aliens. Android directions would kick ass.

    John D – Or (again) .

    Sully – “OH YEAAAAAH!!!”

GroovyVic – You and Mrs. Crankipants. Pure evil.

Ingineer66 – Yeah, not the best idea.

Bob – Or NASCAR. No right turns.
