It’s The Most Wonderful Time O’ The Year!

They’re going back!
Today is Kyle’s first day back to school. He will begin third grade today, and Erik will start all-day Kindergarten on Monday. Thankfully, both of them really enjoy school, so there weren’t any water works today, and shouldn’t be any on Monday. In the meantime, the missus and I will enjoy an empty, quiet home.
Well, except for 19-month old Kevin . . . and 9-month old Julia . . . and the contractors coming in and out of the house all day.

Can’t the contractors watch Kevin & Julia?

Yeah, that sure sounds empty and quiet to me (not)

Damn, Wyatt. Mine started back on the 31st. I took the week off and painted the living room. It was a struggle. Even did a post about it. Take a gander if you get time.

Gosh, and here I thought Christmas was coming early. Dang. I agree with Mrs. C…let the contractors watch the kids and you and the missus can do whatever…..you’d like.

The Girl – Oh yeah, we get to “sleep in” until 6am when Princess Julia regales us with her babbling.
Mrs. Crankipants – Oh, good idea. Put them to work!
E.L. – Oh, it’s a scene!
cbullitt – Painting. that’s what is in store for me in Hell.
John D – He is indeed!
MeToo – I’d like . . . to sleep until about 3pm, but that’s probably not the best idea.

Speaking from experience, it’s never too early to teach kids how to tape and mud drywall.

Mrs. Crankipants – I wonder if I can get them working papers?

Thirty-five more weeks and they are all yours again! HA!
Hope the boys have a really successful year. They deserve it.

RT – So far, so good. Erik had an Open House with his new teacher and class today. Went well.
