Whoring At The AMAs

By Wyatt Earp | November 25, 2008

Okay, I have a serious question to ask, and it may hurt my standing as a shallow, chauvinistic male. I’m going to ask it, anyway.

Who the Hell is advising Miley Cyrus?

Whoever it is, they really need to stop dressing her up like a trampy little minx, and start dressing her like girl who just turned 16 years old. This is what she wore at the American Music Awards:

Hot, right? Well, until you remind yourself that she’s SIXTEEN YEARS OLD!

Now, I enjoy being a pig just as much as the next guy, but that outfit is just plain wrong. And yes, this attitude probably has a lot to do with the fact that the missus and I are expecting our first girl in five weeks. Don’t worry, I’ll still post plenty o’ babe-age here, but Miley won’t be a part of it . . .

At least until she’s eighteen. Heh.

That dress is NOT hot. And even though I don’t like that dress, she could have at least worn different shoes with it. She looks like she’s going to the prom.

And really, have you seen some of the prom dresses lately?

I hate it when kids dress like adults, and even worse, when parents do the whole pageant thing and become stage moms.
A friend of mine has a term for all of those girls whose moms dresses them up like that in pageants and such…”prostitots”.

    Exploitation of the young.

And dressing her like that, sexualizing children has, for example, resulted in such completely together and well adjusted persons like Brittney Spears and Paris Hilton.

GroovyVic - Yeah, they’re worse than the ones from when we were in high school.

DL474 - Prostitots. I’m gonna have to steal that one.

Admiral - She appears to be a semi-level-headed person. I guess appearances are deceptive.

BZ - Don’t forget Lindsay Lohan!

I’m more worried about making sure my little girl - who LOVES Miley Cyrus - doesn’t see it.

I have four daughters, my youngest is 16. Her best friend - we’ve known her for years and her dad is a cop - just had a baby last week. She never dressed lor acted like a tramp. We were shocked.

My niece waited on the Cyrus family at a restaurant last summer. She said they were very nice and gave her a good tip. I hope Miley manages to stay levelheaded and not get all skeezy like Lohan. She has some singing talent, but will her fickle fans dump her for the next flavor of the month?

I’ve chaperoned proms and have seen worse. However, isn’t her mom or dad standing there saying, “Uh, honey…your boobs are popping out.”?

    Dumb.

She just looks like a dorky kid. I liked the previous “Hannah Montana” a lot better than this one.

She could at least stand with a little bit of poise. She looks dorky.

Doghouse - A perfect example of trying to separate the character from the actress.

Sig94 - God help her. At that age, she’ll be overwhelmed.

Ky person - If they do, she’ll react badly.

RT - Exactly. Dad should be saying, “Hey knucklehead, COVER UP!”

    Tom - I agree wholeheartedly.

Kay - She looks like Oscar the Slouch.

Catching up here. We don’t allow HM or any of that “stuff” in my house much to the shock of young girls everywhere. Children do not need to be adultified and IMO, buying HM and allowing it into the house feeds into that. While I do not like this picture of her, I like the one with her naked and wrapped in a bedsheet even less.
