Drunk Mom Asks Daughter (9) To Drive

By Wyatt Earp | October 17, 2008

Lousy drunks!

Lousy drunks!

Well, at least she was responsible and used a designated driver.

TORONTO – An Ontario woman was charged with a traffic violation after having her nine-year-old daughter drive her home following a night of drinking.

“The woman was concerned that she was unable to drive having consumed some alcohol at a social function,” police said on Thursday.

The child was driving the car slowly along country roads in southeastern Ontario on October 12 when police noticed how tiny she was and pulled her over, police said. (H/T – )

Yeah, those Mounties always get their . . . kid.

I’m not sure if Canada has a forced sterilization program, but I think this woman would be the perfect test case.

    Giving her the benefit of the doubt, she maybe saw nothing wrong with it if she lived in the country.

    It is not unsual to see kids aged 9 or 10 driving tractors or old pick-up from one farm field to another and that usually means driving on country roads.

    I’m not saying I agree with what she did mainly because if you are the one primarily in charge of your children, you should not be drinking. You want to drink, you get a sitter.

    But if she lived in the country, I can see the logic of her intoxicated thinking.

    Hey, if she’s a single mom, I know of a guy she might be interested in.

    I thought for sure this would be a Flori-Duh story. What a winner she is.

    Kim – I’m not a canuck, but southeastern Ontario is home to Windsor and Toronto. Not exactly “country livin’.”

    John D – A match made in a bottle.

    Admiral – I was amazed, too!

    Doghouse – Man, if I had a dollar every time I had to say that . . . Oh, I’ve said too much.

    “southeastern Ontario is home to Windsor and Toronto”

    Nope, they’re in southwestern Ontario. Southeastern Ontario is pretty rural, except for Ottawa and Kingston.

    Also, Ontario has OPP, so no HT to RCMP.

    “I’m not sure if Canada has a forced sterilization program”

    Don’t joke about that, this practise only stopped in 1972. Fortunately that was in Alberta, not Ontario.

    Yes, I was born and bred in Ontario.

    RCMP = Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
    OPP = ???
    HT = ??

    OPP- Ontario Provincial Police.

    Or that song. Other People’s…er, Property. Who down with OPP!?

    I used to think it was SO funny when I first moved to Toronto.
