What’s Next For Bill Clinton?

By Wyatt Earp | June 9, 2008

Oh, gee, I don’t know? Broads and cigars at his summer cottage?

Don’t you just love it when the MSM completely butchers a politician over a period of months, then writes a “feel good” piece about what’s next for said politician? I think it’s typical, especially for CNN:

WASHINGTON (CNN) — What a long, strange, unhappy trip it’s been for Bill Clinton.

When Sen. Hillary Clinton officially launched her drive for the White House 17 months ago, the former president’s possibilities seemed endless. His wife’s nomination by many of the party faithful was seen as a virtual certainty.

When the Clintons moved back into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., the political world would once again be Bill Clinton’s oyster. Maybe there would even be a co-presidency.

Perhaps he would get another crack at settling the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Some even speculated that he would follow in the footsteps of William Howard Taft and become the second ex-president to serve on the Supreme Court.

Suddenly many of those possibilities are gone, or at least significantly reduced. The 42nd president’s reputation as a master politician and respected elder statesman has been damaged. Some Clinton partisans are privately grumbling that he helped sink his wife’s presidential campaign.

How did this happen? How did it all go so wrong for the man who almost single-handedly led the Democrats out of the political wilderness 16 years ago? (H/T - CNN)

It happened because his wife, Her Cankleness, is so unlikable that voters flocked in droves to a radical, inexperienced junior senator from Illinois who spends quality time with racist preachers, convicted felons, and Louis Farrakhan.

But don’t feel badly for Hillary, Bill. You certainly did your part. The sight of “The First Black President” attacking the possibly “Real First Black President” on the basis of his race turned off a lot of Democrats. The sight of the old, bitter (read: the real) Bill Clinton attacking liberal reporters turned off a lot more Democrats. Sure, they loved you when you attacked Chris Wallace of Fox News, but how dare you go after one of their own? And finally, the sight of the Obama camp (supported by the MSM) revealing what most Republicans already knew - that you were always a deceitful, lying scumbag - turned off your last bastion of support.

Face it, Bill. You’ll never be residing in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue again. And it’s your own damned fault!

Hopefully it will be the end of the Clintons. But I doubt it.

Rick - They’re like a bad, dirty, lying penny. They’ll turn up somewhere.

I think you hit it square in the middle of her presidential demise.

Why doesn’t he just retire and stay that way. Or maybe do some charity work. I know that I had a lot of respect for Jimmah Carter when he worked with Habitat for Humanity. Then he had to go all moonbatty on us. Maybe Bill can pick up his hammer.

    Nah.

Admiral - Others have said it better, but I think it’s obvious he had a big hand in Hillary’s loss.

Ky person - He’ll pick up a hammer if it’ll help him pick up broads. That’s it.

Bill Clinton, shirtless w/ a toolbelt…nope, he still does nothing for me.

Maybe the hammer is to knock ‘em in the head and render them senseless?
