Ed Rendell: A Bigger Whore Than Paris Hilton

Only six days after Sen. Hillary Clinton dropped out of the presidential race, some of her most prominent local supporters joined Democratic candidate Sen. Barack Obama at a pair of fundraisers in Center City last night.
Whichever way the wind blows, huh Ed? When you’re done your dirty, sinful business, clean yourself up . . . and don’t use Obama’s show towels, either, you whore!
Clinton’s most visible Pennsylvania backer, Gov. Rendell, said Obama called him earlier this week and that he’d made calls to get his supporters out to last night’s events.
Of course, Rendell is Hillary’s most visible backer. He weighs about 550 pounds!
Rendell, who often accused reporters of having “drunk the Obama Kool-Aid” during the campaign, said an Obama supporter brought a canister of Kool-Aid with an Obama sign on it to a Rendell event earlier this week.
“I drank it on Monday,” a grinning Rendell said, “so from now on Senator Obama is the greatest American politician ever to live.” (H/T - The Philadelphia Daily News)

There is a great line from one of my favorite movies, The Hunt for Red October. It goes like this:
“Listen, I’m a politician which means I’m a cheat and a liar, and when I’m not kissing babies I’m stealing their lollipops.”
That, in a nutshell, is the essence of Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell.
Look, I know politicians from both sides of the aisle do despicable things for political expediency. You could count the number of Washington insiders who have a soul on one finger. However, to see Rendell bend over the sink for Obama like this is pretty low, even for someone of his questionable character. Unite the Party, support the man publicly, but don’t give him fellatio in front of the entire world. It’s unseemly.
