The Funnel Bacakonator Has Arrived!

By Wyatt Earp | October 12, 2011

For those of you wondering why I love NASCAR so much, :

Charlotte Motor Speedway has unveiled new concession items in advance of Saturday night’s Bank of America 500 Sprint Cup race, including healthy options in the name of Danica Patrick and the “funnel bacakonator,” which, yes, combines funnel cake and bacon.

“Danica Patrick’s Fit Fuel Menu” will feature items like turkey and veggie burgers, fruit and vegetables, trail mix and healthy energy bars. Never mind that Patrick will actually be racing across the country in the Izod IndyCar Series season finale on Sunday.

Across the country from the Danica menu, nutritionally speaking, there’s the funnel bacakonator, which is a funnel cake covered in bacon pieces and strawberry and chocolate sauces. (H/T – Randal Graves)

WANT! I’m renting an RV as you read this. Who’s with me?

Mmmmmm. I started by thinking it would be great to eat. Then I thought about Danica eating one and quickly went from there. Thanks, Wyatt, now I won’t be able to concentrate for the rest of the day.

If it were an english muffin cake, covered in bacon and steak slices and ham and cheese burger slices I would join you, but mixing fruit and chocolate with meats? Thats like taking good bread and ruining it by putting fruit in it. i would however hitch a ride to Denver with ya and you could drop me off where they brew the bacon tasting ale!

If it was maple syrup instead of strawberry and chocolate, ok. That’s pretty much what I eat at waffle house. Good for your soul.

There’s no way the funnel bacakonator has only 1,300 calories and 77 grams of fat! It’s probably double that.

Make sure you get an RV with a heavy-duty suspension. You know, for the ride back.

PapaMAS – SYLG: Keeping workers distracted for 6+ years.

Jon – You’re missing the big picture: Bacon makes everything better.

Sally Anne – Best flu remedy . . . EVAH!

Randal – At least double that.

Jeff – And the largest septic system available.

Bob G. – If loving that is wrong, I don’t wanna be right.
