Come On, Irene

Hurricane Irene As Of 1PM EDT
Folks up and down the eastern seaboard are fretting – and rightfully so – about the incoming doom that is Hurricane Irene. Here at the Earp Ranch, we’re prepared as best as we can be, but I’ll be in work tonight when the maelstrom strikes. I could either stress about the house or distract myself with a little – very little – humor.
I prefer the latter.
The Top Ten Good Things About Hurricane Irene
10. Kids can have hours of fun flying like Harry Potter.
9. Fruity drinks for everyone!
8. The Emergency Broadcast System changed to punk rock format last week.
7. Two words: Weather bunnies.
6. Lack of people on the streets means more looting for the cops.
5. I can continue to post ad nauseum.
4. 90mph winds mean every car will soon be a convertible.
3. Finally, a bail out that won’t cost us billions of dollars!
2. It’s quite possible that it will actually be raining men.
And the number one good thing about Hurricane Irene is . . .
1. High winds will finally take away the clutter in Captain America’s backyard.

Captain – I’ll wait outside with my mouth open.
Chris C – I’d much rather deal with the snow. At least that usually doesn’t end up in your basement.
RT – Freaked me out last night.
Old NFO – I didn’t panic until the drive/sail home.
Dr. Evil – Ouch. Nice time to potty train him. We never lost power, which is a plus.
