That’s the claim , anyway.

Hollywood’s hottest may get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to plug a product over Twitter or Facebook, but according to a new study released Wednesday, people are more influenced by the opinion of a blogger (yes, just a regular human being) when it comes to learning more about products or making a purchase.

According to the BlogHer 2011 Social Media Matters Study, 78 percent of the female American adult populations are active social media users, and of those, nearly twice as many (20 percent) are motivated to consider products promoted by or with a blogger they know, than they are by promotions featuring a celebrity (12 percent).

The reason for that is that people usually trust bloggers they follow – at least more than some toad celebrity. For instance, you folks trust me because I’ll never – or rarely – steer ya wrong. And on that subject, if you’re looking to shape up for summer, I highly recommend the Shake Weight. It turned me from this . . .

To this!

Call now! Mention my name and you’ll get a free Snuggie!

Hells bells, if you really looked like that I’d be on the road to Philly.

You can’t fool us – that beach shot is Hugh Jackman!

If I were to compare Hugh and Wyatt – Hugh’s body is a little too buff. I see big muscles like that and shriveled sack comes to mind. Not making my panties damp. Cut to the photo of Wyatt in his JC Penney golf shirt – no steroid abuse there! And you can bet he has a much bigger ballsack than Hugh.

Plus, Hugh does musical theater and has those awful sideburns. Having that hairy mug panting so close to my face would be like knocking boots with Martin Van Buren. On the other hand, Wyatt is clean shaven, and carries a gun, which says he’s responsible, trustworthy, and dangerous, and we gals love dangerous men! (Not sure about the product endorsement though.)

Prime example. The other day Captain America at First In put up a video for Breaking Benjamin for the song “The Dairy of Jane”. I listened to it, loved it and downloaded it from ITunes a couple of minutes later.

Bloggers also have a unique perspective. I will plug First In again. I think Fox News or some News organization that isn’t a mouthpiece for the dems should look at the “brown outs” of Philadelphia Fire stations and why they now have to answer calls in Camden, NJ.

On my post today or tomorrow at http://ferrellgummit.wordpress.com/ I am going to discuss my history of blogging. I got the idea from ScarlettRed. I will credit her for that.

I wonder how trustworthy blog COMMENTERS are, tho?

I tried to order two of them, but my credit card was refused. Something about too close to Wyatt and the female populace could not absorb such a plethora of maleness without going into hormonal meltdown.

Roger – She’s an early riser.

GroovyVic – Well, he’s a little taller than I am.

    RT – Gold Bond.

Mrs. Crankipants – “would be like knocking boots with Martin Van Buren” Bawahahahahahaha!!!

Ferrell – Scarlett is a doll. And a very good blogger.

John D – I want the camouflage one!

Orchid – I trust a lot of my commenters. Not all of them, but most.

Jim – Sucks when that happens, doesn’t it? If I had a dollar for every time some female reader sent me a bathing suit photo . . . I’d have an empty wallet.

Richard – That sounds like a “Sham.”

    Wyat:
Hell, I trust ‘ya for a number of reasons:
You’re from Philly (the nice part)
You’re with the PPD (the good part)
You like Christina Hendricks (ALL parts)

    Cripes, we’re practically RELATED…LOL.

    ;)

    Roll safe out there.
