Christina Aguilera: Idiot

Pop star and resident skank Christina Aguilera performed the National Anthem during last night’s Super Bowl. Well, “performed” is a relative term, since she botched the lyrics.
The biggest moment any singer can ask for: “The Star Spangled Banner” at the Super Bowl. And Christina Aguilera messed up the lyrics.
At about 51 seconds in, as she was about to sing the fourth line (“O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming”), she accidentally sang a hybrid of the second line: “What so proudly we watched, at the twilight’s last streaming.”
If you’re asked to sing the National Anthem on a worldwide stage, wouldn’t you think you’d at least familiarize yourself with the words?
Way to go, Christina. You’re a credit to your country. The video is at the link.

She’s from the Pittsburgh area….she jinxed the Steelers. I think she screwed up because she was afraid Big Ben would come out and grab her.
And yes, I know, my Steelers lost. Hines Ward feels terrible about it, he said so on Facebook. I just hope I’m able to watch the games next season!!!

Hey NFL… I’ve got an idea, Skip the overblown, drawn out halftime show and find an artist to sing “THE ANTHEM” without screwing up the lyrics and STAYING ON KEY. Thank You.

The girl from Glee that sang America the Beautiful did a terrific job. Get her to sing the Anthem next time.

Roger – I turned off the TV at halftime. The Black Eyed Peas suck.
Picky – Agreed. And while I’m not a fan. Whitney Houston did a terrific job a few years ago, too.
