The First Iron Man 3 Trailer

As a lifelong comic book nerd, my favorite superhero was Spider-man. (Wolverine was a close second.) When the new superhero films started coming out, I switched my allegiance to Iron Man. Robert Downey, Jr. is brilliant in the films, and they have never disappointed me.

Today, the trailer for Iron Man 3 was released, and I think I’ve re-watched it a dozen times already. The trailer is below the fold.

And it looks freakin’ fantastic.

That’s Ben Kingsley’s voice as The Mandarin (he’s briefly seen taking off his hood), and it looks like he is going to be the best villain of the series so far.

April cannot get here soon enough.

John D – The second film wasn’t as good as the first, but still was damned entertaining. This one may eclipse them all. Here’s hoping.

Sally Anne – You did indeed.

I think I’m the only person who liked the 2nd Iron Man better because of the villians. Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell were great. Hopefully they’ll have less Gwyneth Paltrow this time.

Randal – If the entire movie is Iron Man getting his ass kicked, I’m still seeing it. And Shane Black wrote and directed. He did the first two (aka the “good?) Lethal Weapon films.

Billy – Rourke was fantastic, and Rockwell was deliciously slimy. I think I lean toward the first because I’ve seen it more often. Personally, my (current, yet sometimes changeable) superhero films are:

    1. The Dark Knight.
    2. Iron Man
    3. Spider-man 2 (with Dr. Octopus)

Ferrell – Probably 3a. Like I said, the top three are fluid, and I think that, X-Men, and Captain America are fantastic films.

My favorite old-school superhero film is Superman II. KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!

  5. Dr. Evil

Ben Kingsley is clearly seen as Mandarin…the dude with the long beard and hair. And the scene with his ten rings of power. kick ass!
