I would not be spending my money on cars and clothing. Instead, I would be spending my money on things of historical value.
A Philadelphia firm is selling a piece of one of Martha Washington’s dresses. For $40,000, it’s a steal.
A piece of one of Martha Washington’s dresses is for sale. The Raab Collection, a Philadelphia historic documents dealer, said that it’s selling the 5-inch-by-9-inch piece of silk brocade for $40,000. Other pieces of the same dress are at George Washington’s home, Mount Vernon.
In 1932, it was given as a gift to Nan Britton, the subject of the first modern-day presidential sex scandal. Britton wrote a tell-all book that claimed she had an illegitimate daughter with President Warren G. Harding. Her claim was never proved definitively.
Warren Harding. And people think George W. Bush was the worst president ever.

Wyatt: I’m a history buff, but if I’m going to pay $40,000 for a piece of cloth, it’d better come wrapped around Cindy Crawford, or Christina Hendricks, et al.
Not to worry! I would be very careful in removing the wrapping…
A piece of the First Lady’s dress….how bad is it that I immediately wondered if it was in a ziploc bag to “preserve the evidence.”?
I were rich I’d buy every Transformer ever!
I’d also pull up to an orphanage in a Bentley loaded with toys, chocolate, a puppy, and fireworks. Fill out all the adoption papers for one child and then NEVER take him home. a la Carter Pewtweschmitt!
