Think America Likes Police Officers?

Think again. Note to my fellow officers: Stay away from Good Foods to Go in New Jersey:
EVESHAM, N.J. – Police said a cook put a body hair in the bagel sandwich of a police officer who had given him tickets in the past. The cook was arrested Feb. 21 in the kitchen of Good Foods to Go in Evesham. The police officer ticketed the cook in March 2009 when he failed to pull over for a traffic violation.
The cook spent four hours in jail before his wife bailed him out, and was fired from his job.
The Courier-Post of Cherry Hill reports police asked them not to report the incident for fear of copycat crimes. The paper published the story anyway.
Of course they published the story anyway! Most media outlets despise police officers. When someone finds me a true cop-friendly paper, please forward the link to me, because it will be the first. Oh, and check out some of the comments below the story at the link. Much like the hair sandwich, they’ll turn your stomach. I swear, firefighters don’t have to deal with this kind of nonsense.
And yes, I did notice the irony of the AP chastising the Courier-Post for printing the story against the department’s wishes . . . before they reprinted it worldwide.

I didn’t read the story when I saw it the other day. I hate those stories. Makes me angry. People are such a-holes.
What has gotten into the people of the world? That jerk needs the paste beaten out of him.
What an idiot. Disgusting. I hope he stays unemployed for a really long time.
Old NFO – I already do, chief. When I was in patrol, there were very few places where I would stop to eat.
Captain – Best part about being a detective. We have our own kitchen.
RT – Like it’s the officer’s fault that he didn’t pull over when the officer tried to stop him. He deserved a ticket.

Mrs. Crankipants – In some circles, the guy is a hero. He’ll have a job soon, trust me.
If it ain’t progressive/marxist the MSM and print media hate it. Your fighting a losing battle there.
Please don’t lump ALL of America in with these idiots.
And yet these people will expect superior service when it comes to their food but they can’t extend the same courtesy.
The thought of this guy finding another job because of what he did…nauseating.
