ObamaCare Vote Scheduled For Next Week

By Wyatt Earp | March 13, 2010

Congratulations, Obama voters! Your decision to elect this man has brought us to this: a disastrous, economy-destroying health care bill that no one wants, but will be forced down our throats by the Democrat “leadership.” What’s worse is that the Democrats are trying to pass the bill in an underhanded, unconstitutional way.

RedState has the bad news:

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has scheduled a vote next week on a House rule to get ObamaCare passed without one Representative having to vote on the bill. This may be unconstitutional. The procedure is purposefully confusing because liberals in Congress hope the American people don’t figure out this procedural fraud until it is too late. So much for the Constitution that says that a bill does not become a law until the House and Senate pass identical bills, and then the President signs that legislation.

First, the House will take up a rule that will “deem” the Senate passed version of ObamaCare to have passed after the House passes a reconciliation bill. The reconciliation bill is a yet to be released budgetary bill to reconcile current law and it amends the Senate ObamaCare bill. The left assumes that the American people are too dense to understand that they are going to pass an unpopular bill in the House, yet House members can run back to the district and claim they never voted for the bill. Win-win for Members of Congress and lose-lose for the American people.

Confused yet? Good, because that’s what the Democrats wanted. In simpler terms, this is what the Democrats are trying to do. They will consider the Senate’s version of the health care bill passed after the House passes changes made to said bill. In short, there will be no House vote on ObamaCare, but it will pass anyway. Oh, and this move is unconstitutional. But hey, why would the Democrats worry about the Constitution when their agenda is threatened?

We have to stop this thing now, because after it passes, it will never be repealed. Call or write your senator or representative before it’s too late.

  1. When there is no support among the people for what you are doing, the only way to pass it is with smoke and mirrors so no one has to claim they voted for it.

  2. naked patriot says:

IT IS TIME TO GET OUR COUNTRY BACK AND FIGHT THESE UNAMERICAN ASSMAGGOTS WHO HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT DESTROY THIS COUNTRY SINCE OBAMA TOOK OFFICE.

  3. Old NFO says:

Agreed! And vote them ALL out in November… sigh…

  4. Mike47 says:

I’ve tried complaining to my elected representatives from California, to no avail. They aren’t interested in listening. We have lost control of our government.

  5. Rides A Pale Horse says:

In reality, it’s already too late. The progressives ARE going to pass this no matter what……….period. Come hell or high water, so it’s now time to gather our forces and come November, incur a bloodbath at the polls. Get these Communist (yes I said it) sonsobitches OUT of our legislature and get people in office that will repeal this unconstitutional piece of shit.

I have NEVER in all my years seen my government so bent on RULING rather than governing.

It’s BULLSHIT and it needs to stop…………NOW.

  6. tjbbpgobIII says:

Even if we elect all R’s this November when is the last time a republician congress turned back a large money maker like this. They want control too and this will give it to them. The insurance companies want this, the doctors want this and ALL of the politicians want this. OIL UP YOUR WINCHESTERS BOYS HELL’S A COMING AND WERE COMING WITH IT. BS

  7. Wyatt Earp says:

CP – Hopefully, everyone remembers this in November.

NP – Vote them out. All of them.

Old NFO – Every single one of them. If ever there was a need for term limits, it’s now.

Mike47 – My scumbag congress-whore is Alyson Schwartz. She is an ignorant piece of garbage who ignores her constituents.

RAPH – Therein lies the problem. It is terribly difficult to repeal legislation such as this. If it passes, we’re screwed.

tjbbpgobIII – The GOP frakked things up last time, but at least they are giving a united front now. Not that I trust them, either.

  8. Rick says:

It is time to vote them all out. Please do not disgrace The Three Stooges by comparing Obummer,Pelosi and Reid to them.

  9. Nancy got zapped by the Parlimentarian, who said that they have to in fact pass the Senate bill, and have it signed by the President; THEN they can take up the reconcilliation bill.

That may actually doom the whole thing, a lot of Democrats in right leaning districts aren’t too kean on defending votes for the Senate bill with all of it’s kick backs, AND hoping the reconcilliation bill can actually pass in the Senate.

  10. Moe says:

That picture is insulting to the memory of the wonderfully talented and beloved stooges.

  11. TeeJaw says:

The Hill has the whip count as 35 Democrats either firm no, leaning no, or likely no. 3 more and we win.

If you can believe Dennis Kucinich the no count is 36.

  12. minuteman26 says:

Obamacare has nothing to do with healthcare. It has everything to do with taxation and control. Control by a marxist government bent on destroying this Republic as we know it. If it passes then what? Civil war anyone?

  13. Minuteman, did you ever wonder why folks talk about right wing wackos? Didn’t think so.

Anyway, civil war, no. Elect conservatives in November who are willing to not fund the new program. Keep in mind, a President can ask for anything he wants, the House is where the actual spending bills originate. A GOP controlled house can just defund the new mandate, and it’s dead.
