ObamaCare Passes
By Wyatt Earp | March 21, 2010
219 For, 212 Against.
The United States of America: b. 1776. d. 2010.
I sincerely hope all of you Obama voters are proud of yourselves. You helped bring about a job-killing, economically-devastating health care bill that more than half the country did not want. And while the coverage does not begin for four years, the taxes are levied immediately. The repercussions of this fall squarely upon your Party’s shoulders. You sat back and watched as your president – I voted for McCain – accumulated the necessary votes through arm-twisting and outright bribery. You alleged Catholics barely flinched when you heard that the bill would include public funding for abortions, as if the Church was suddenly okay with that.
And now, the rest of us have to pay the price: literally and figuratively.
Thanks for that, and thanks to the Republicans who wanted to “send a message” to the GOP by voting for Obama. I hope the message was worth it to you when the economy tanks and you lose your job. John McCain and Hillary Clinton were no prize pigs, but I guarantee neither of them would have force-fed us this unwanted legislation.
There is a terrific scene in Full Metal Jacket that can be applied to Obama voters today. Gunnery Sergeant Hartman finds a jelly doughnut in Private Pyle’s foot locker, and as punishment, he makes the rest of the company do calestetics before stuffing the doughnut into Pyle’s face.
Hartman tells Pyle, “They’re paying for it, you eat it!”
UPDATE: Here are the more disturbing portions of ObamaCare. Worth a read.
SECOND, ANGRIER UPDATE: Obama signed the Bill into law today, and refused to sign (or even acknowledge) the Executive Order on abortion he gave Stupak for the “pro-life’ Democrats’ votes. The White House promises Obama will sign the order “soon.” Uh-huh. Barack Obama is a lying frakkin’ scumbag, especially since this Executive Order means nothing. There’s no reason not to sign it, except to flip off the Stupak Dozen.

I think I hear fiddles in D.C.

God help us all.

OK, the flame is lit. Now for the long knives. No incumbents returning to office in 2010! Pass it on…

That movie clip is how a great trilogy dies.

The Constitution has been bypassed, an illegal action has been carried out by the legislature, and the Union is now jeopardy of being under distress in my opinion.
…and I worry, that this will become more violent than it has already (IRS aircraft attacks, pentagon shootings, etc.) as the will of the people falls on deaf ears
if you thought there was a big surge in firearm sales and ammunition in 2008, I believe 2010 will dwarf those numbers.

Words fail me.
Probably just as well; if I were actually to put what I’m feeling about our elected…lords and masters…into words on this blog, Wyatt would likely, out of his clearly overdeveloped sense of duty, feel obliged to report me to the Secret Service.
From what I’ve seen, Wyatt takes his oath to “serve and protect” the public far more seriously than 219 House Democrats, 59 Democrat Senators, and one tyrannical Democrat President are taking their solemn oath to “preserve, protect and uphold the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
And these knaves, fools and poltroons, who have clearly demonstrated by their own actions that they are themselves domestic enemies of the Constitution, actually have the gall to say that they’re doing all this on behalf of the American people they’ve ignored and belittled throughout this process. And by ramming nationalized health care through Congress via a purely corrupted process and a completely partisan vote, over the expressed objections of two-thirds of the American public, they’re “completing the work of the Founding Fathers” while shredding the Constitution the Founders created.
I don’t see how this is going to end well, for any of us.
March 22nd, 2010 at 12:17 am
Jeb – I wouldn’t go that far, necessarily. This was a total partisan act, not one Republican voted for this, or reconciliation, and every Republican also voted for a last ditch attempt to recommit.

RT – Well, Pelosi’s urine is probably burning from all of the STD’s.
Raptor – I’m sure He just loves the abortion language. Oh wait, Schtupak got a piece of paper – which is worthless, by the way – that says public funds won’t be used to crush the skulls of defenseless fetuses.
Jeb – I am for voting every one of them out. Every single one.
Randal – Died before that scene. I remind you of Jar Jar Binks.
Smite – I fear you’re right, and people like me will have to clean up the mess.
Wes S. – I’ll write this with the caveat that I am really angry. Take it as you will. When Obama voters lose their jobs because ObabaCare destroys the economy, or when Obama voters can’t get to a doctor when they need one, I will giggle a little inside. They knew what he was and they voted for him anyway – either because he was an ultra-liberal or because he was African-American. They deserve what they get, and they can never blame the GOP, the Tea Partiers, or George W. Bush for any of the problems that arise from this piece of terrible legislation.
Smite – It was a rare display of cojones from a Party that has been lacking of late. I’ll give them credit for that.
March 22nd, 2010 at 12:42 am
Wyatt – did you see Boehner’s address? it was awesome!
I already knew, as everyone else does that has they’re eyes and ears open, that there is going to be a serious backlash in November, but I think that’s just an understatement, it’s not just in the voting booth.. I have this ever growing belief that a sleeping giant has just been awoken…
March 22nd, 2010 at 12:45 am
Smite – I hope for the best, but expect the worst. We all know that American voters have very short memories. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Dem losses are minor.
Oh well, at least Rush, Prager, and Levin will be entertaining tomorrow.

It is time to retake America
March 22nd, 2010 at 1:55 am
Is the crowd chanting “Yes We Can!” ?
That is so awesome to know that once I get back on my feet and working full-time (as opposed to two part-time jobs and whatever seasonal work comes up) a chunk of my wages will go to subsidize the $12 a day Krispy Kreme habit of husky, pony-tailed bloggers who have apparently traded in their ten speed for a Rascal.

I’m SO disgusted by Obamacare, corrupt politicians, and the resent vote in Washington…they just don’t listen, I’M SICK OF IT!!! As a Graphic Designer, I had to get my anger out and the only thing I can do is art…so tonight I designed a t-shirt for us who are frustrated with our elected officials.
We Will Remember…VOTE THEM OUT¡

The biggest fools are the one’s who believed this was a good plan because it wasn’t a single payer plan. The truth is, the new restrictions on insurance companies and businesses are so onerous that by the time the law is fully effective (if it lasts in the courts that long) most insurance companies will stop writing health care policies.
Ask anyone in Maine how many choices they have.
The truth is, this bill is designed to fail, so that Congress can say “See, the (evil) insurance companies wouldn’t play under fair rules”, and then force everyone into single payer.

I think all points made here are spot-on. I would, however submit that Star Wars was was cooked earlier…Ewoks, anyone?. I live in South Carolina and I think I’ll move to Jim Clyburn’s district to vote. I’d like to “whip” him out!! Lets kick some ass in November!!

There’s a huge line in the sporting goods section of my Wal-Mart. Shotguns for everyone.
March 22nd, 2010 at 8:33 am
This should make our mortal enemies very happy. Less money to fight them.
March 22nd, 2010 at 8:59 am
Wyatt – We now know who all the Communist rat-bastards are. My question to you is how do the LEOs in your community feel about armed insurection should the 2010 elections flop. This country will be unrecognizable if Obama is allowed to have his way thru 2012. IMHO all who voted for this bill are traitors.
March 22nd, 2010 at 9:36 am
I’m seriously considering repatriating myself to Texas in the near future.
Beyond having probably the strongest economy in the Union, it’s one that I know will be resisting this, and a likely good chance of success at it. Not that they would necessarily secede, but they are a Republic themselves and are very strong on states rights at the 10th amendment.
Totally different mindset down there too, not exactly a strong attitude toward entitlements, and this ObamaCare crap ain’t gonna fly.
March 22nd, 2010 at 9:41 am
We are going to be trying to choke this hot mess down for a very long time. We couldn’t kill the bill but we can certainly vote the bums out!
March 22nd, 2010 at 11:07 am
As far as I’m concerned, this Republic of ours is not dead. It’s only dead if I give up on it, and I’ll only give up on our Republic when I’m dead.
March 22nd, 2010 at 12:42 pm
NO!, re-read and then re-write the Declaration of Independence – when in the course…. you don’t have to have the current government, invent a new one.
March 22nd, 2010 at 12:46 pm
RAPH – Sad but true.
Rick – November is less than eight months away.
Fenway_Nation – HEY! I’m less fat now!
4uPatriots – I hope remember, but voters have very short memories.
CP – The Founders would never have wanted this. Never.
RogerDee – Clyburn is a stone cold racist, in my opinion.
Randal – Were the shoppers wearing Zubaz?
Jon – What’s worse, the military medical plan (TRICARE) will take a huge hit from this.
Minuteman26 – I’ve addressed this before, but it bears repeating. Most (if not all) of us would uphold our oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution, as well as the legally elected POTUS. If people want to take up arms against the government because they don’t like a certain piece of legislation, so be it. I’ll be the one on the other side of the line defending America.
If you want revolution, make it happen at the ballot box. Otherwise, I have no time for you.
Smite – Well, the good news is that PA is one of the states that is bringing a lawsuit against this legislation.
MeToo – And that’s the correct way to do things. One Civil War was one too many.
Morgan – Agreed. Freedom took a major hit, though.
March 22nd, 2010 at 12:48 pm
Earl – Let’s hope that there are a few Adams’ and Jeffersons left in America. We sorely need them now.

[...] The Other McCain has some advice for Republicans, and for all of us, Dan offers some sage advice too. Mike offers us a dose of harsh reality. Russ, on the other hand, wonders how bad our hangover is, Wyatt wonders how long we can survive [...]
