Ingineer, the flip side would be why has Tony Stewart been so successful in NASCAR, because he started in open wheels.

Wyatt, if you need to watch closed wheels with mostly Americans, check out some of the IMSA races. Run on road courses with much closer to stock vehicles than “stock car” racing has seen in 25 years.

Better yet, get a decent old Neon and join SCCA and find out why guys who turn both ways all the time laugh about NASCAR.

CP – If F-1 drivers are so much better because they turn left and right then how come Juan Pablo Montoya didn’t win all the races last year?

Mrs. C the irony of that movie was that Wonder Bread became a Mexican owned company right before the movie came out.

1oldleg – Don’t know if you’ve been there before, but it’s a fantastic place to see a race. I saw the Pepsi 400 in 2001. Dale Jr won the first race there after Dale Sr died.

Nascar shouldn’t even be listed as racing. Racing requires you to turn both ways every race, and have open wheels.

“If you ain’t rubbin’ you ain’t racin” is for guys who can’t drive and need to bounce off other cars to make it around the track.
