Tiger Woods Injured In Auto Accident

By Wyatt Earp | November 27, 2009

Australia Masters GolfApparently he did not have a long, straight drive on this hole. What? I’m just sayin’.

Tiger’s condition has been quoted as critical, serious, and stable. Believe it or not, that’s the usual fare from a hospital. Most people are listed in critical at first, then updates vary considering how the patient is progressing. Hot Air has the scoop:

Not our usual fare, but he’s the most famous athlete in the world and this is the slowest non-holiday news day of the year, which makes it darned near obligatory. Besides, there’s already intrigue swirling around the circumstances: Pulling out of his own driveway at 2:30 a.m., he hits a fire hydrant and a tree — and yet, according to the cops, there was no booze involved. Hmmmmm:

Woods, 33, pulled out of his driveway in the Isleworth community about 2:25 a.m. when he struck a fire hydrant, and then drove into a tree at his neighbor’s property, FHP reported.

Woods was transported to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee in serious condition, FHP said. No other information about his condition has been released…

FHP said the airbags in Woods’ Cadillac Escalade did not deploy, which means the vehicle was traveling under 33 mph.

For the record, I love Tiger and I think he’s a tremendous athlete. My fandom will also keep me from speculating what happened, but it’s safe to say that there will be questions as to how the hell this happened and who or what was the cause.

He stuck a tree and Fire Plug, in an Escalade under 33mph. AND as reported in another article, had to be extricated by his wife. Reported she used a golf club to break the rear window of said Escalade so Tiger could free himself… Hmmmm.
I have no doubt she broke the window. But I’d be willing to bet she broke the window PRE-collision.

Alcohol may not have been involved… But I’m sure OTHER factors were.

He was fighting with his wife. And stormed out. No doubt in my mind from the moment the “story” broke. As far as her getting her out of the car with a golf club… that was the dumbest thing I have ever heard. She was definitely beating his car up!!!

So Wyatt, do the Philly cops let the perps agent dictate when the interview will occur? Just read that Tiger’s agent told the cops they needed to reschedule their post accident interview. I’m thinking you maybe need a post op vacation and could go to Orlando and show those putzes how to handle this type of stuff.

Wagonsux – TMZ is saying it was a domestic. Wow.

LDIV – And another “perfect” couple crumbles. Possibly.

Deanna – An ironic choice of weapons, too.

CP – My reply would be, “Okay, we’ll reschedule the interview after I get your arrest warrant signed by a judge.”
