Gay marriage is a non sequitur or an oxymoron in my view. It is another attempt by a tiny minority of people financed by some fat cat liberals to minimize and demean a special relationship between a man and a woman.

If, in fact, the activists within the homosexual community really wanted to get married then they could do so every day of the week. But that is not the goal here. The goal is to get the state to recognize it even though there is no widespread movement within their community to do so. If there was a widespread movement and commitment to each other within their community then they would be getting married in their own religious or secular ceremonies. It does not happen nor will it happen.

It is all about government recognition and from that, educating children to be tolerant of men marrying men and women marrying women, of adoption rights ad infinitum.

It is a scam by a very few rich, powerful people and each time it is run by the voters it is defeated.

I hope they put my name on the list that opposes it.

I do support gay marriage, and these guys make me embarrassed to be on the same side. In fact, this is why as much as I support it, I would most likely be unwilling to help out should it ever go to the ballot box here specifically because we see this crap so much. In fact, it’s kind of like Daylin Leach, the lefty Senator from Montgomery County. He’s such an ass to people he disagrees with that I don’t want him on my side for the issues where we do agree. (His Twitter feed is usually good for you daily dose of asshole in case you Philly folks are running low…)

What infuriates me is that younger people are overwhelmingly supportive of gay marriage. All the proponents really have to do is wait a few more years. If I knew that gun control would basically end if I just waited for a generation or two of solidly pro-gun voters to grow up, I’d be ecstatic. Sure, I’d try to make improvements along the way, but I sure as hell wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize that likely future support like threaten opponents or start acting out violently as some did in California.
