A German orchestra has come up with an interesting plan for self-promotion. They want to perform in a local brothel. I wonder how the woodwind section feels about that? Heh.
BERLIN – A German orchestra announced plans on Tuesday to play a concert in a brothel in a novel effort to bring classical music “out of the concert hall and to where people are.”
Punters and employees at the Eros Centre in Leipzig would be treated on Friday to six musicians and a singer from the city’s Forum for Contemporary Music (FZML) performing “licentious and erotic” works, the orchestra promises. (H/T – AFP)
If the orchestra wanted to bring the music to where people are, they could have tried a park. I’m just sayin’.
