America Denies Aid To Somali Terrorists

The Hell you say! Ya know, it’s stories like these that make me shout “Death to America!” /snark.
NYTimes: United Nations officials say Somalia has not been in such perilous shape since the central government collapsed in 1991 and is in desperate need of help.
But right now that help is being delayed, they say, at least partly because the American government is worried that its aid is going to feed terrorists.
American officials are concerned that United Nations contractors may be funneling American donations to the Shabab, a Somali terrorist group with growing ties to Al Qaeda. (H/T – Flopping Aces)
I wonder if the New York Times realizes the irony of posting this story just two days before the anniversary of Battle of Mogadishu? Yeah, I think we’ll stop payment on that check. They had their chance at U.N. aid, and they blow it.

it sickens me too, that countries like that are still sucking the teat of this country, like a beggar down in center city…. and everyone just expects us to keep doing it.. to be there welfare system, while they have no intention of bettering themselves with it.
