Hmm, I wonder if Israel knows I hate them?
Ya know all of that talk about Jimmy Carter being one of the worst presidents of the 20th Century – or ever, for that matter? Remember all of that talk about Carter being a rabid anti-Semite? Well, there’s a reason for all of that talk, and some of it has to do with the people Carter surrounded himself with. People like former National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski:
A stark reminder via Goldfarb that no matter how bad you think The One is, we could do — and have done — worse.
DB: How aggressive can Obama be in insisting to the Israelis that a military strike might be in America’s worst interest?
Brzezinski: We are not exactly impotent little babies. They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?
DB: What if they fly over anyway?
Brzezinski: Well, we have to be serious about denying them that right. That means a denial where you aren’t just saying it. If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a Liberty in reverse.
Goldfarb in reply: “So conjure the image — the Obama administration sending U.S. aircraft up to protect Iran’s airspace and it’s nuclear installations from an attack by a democracy that is one of America’s closest allies.” Indeed.
Um, what the frak? Even if this idiot thinks this is a good idea, why would he bother to tell anyone about it? It only makes him look like a complete and utter jackass.
What’s next, he’ll advocate air raids of Britain and Australia? Moron.

It’s going to be a one way trip for the aircraft anyway and those pilots are good. It’s not going to be all that easy.
It’s more likely that they would fly over Saudi airspace instead. The Suudi’s hate Iran enough to only feign outrage.
Independent of our approval to Israel or not, Iran will be tempted to hit the Great Satan also after being struck by the Little Satan. We may lose a few hundred or thousand men and women as the Iranians hit our bases close to their borders. That however will assure that the stone age will be coming to visit them. For the sake of those men and women of ours who mightl die also I pray that diplomatic pressure wins out before then. If not, it will make the last 8 years in Iraq and Afghanistan look like a cake walk when it happens. But I hope our commanders in theatre when they get the word to
interfere with any Israeli action remember what Patton told Ike and Clark when he was told to stop and give all his fuel to Montgomery for Operation Market Garden,
his answer was…”I think it (the communique) was garbled in transmission”.
Seems lotsa folks surrounding Jimmuh Carter are raving JOO haters.
There was a time I would say we would never shoot down Israely planes , no American President would do that .

It has been reported that Israel already has the green light from the Saudis. Of course the Saudis immediately denied that any agreement had been reached.

I thought Iraq was a sovereign nation–what’s this about “our” airspace? Did we acquire Iraq as the 51st state? Am I missing something?
Just wanted to share what an Israeli spokesman said about Carter and his talk of withdrawl ..”Withdrawl was neccessary, a few seconds before Carter was concieved”
