Obama To Middle Class: Get Bent

Remember all of those times that we discussed President Obama’s grandiose spending plans? Those conversations always ended the same way – with me asking, “Who exactly is going to pay for all of this?”
Most of us expected the middle class would foot a lot of the bill. Apparently, we were right. We were so right that the New York Freakin’ Times published an article explaining that the eeevvviiilll rich couldn’t foot the bill for Cap and Tax, Obama Care, and every other mistake the POTUS has in waiting.

As these analysts recognize, taxing the rich has its limits both economically and politically, such that members of Congress are not likely to tap that well again and again…
Mr. Burman and others recall that in the creation of Social Security and Medicare, Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson insisted that beneficiaries contribute through payroll taxes, both to finance the programs and to give all Americans a vested interest. The same philosophy should apply to seeking universal health coverage, they say.
“This idea that everything new that government provides ought to be paid for by the top 5 percent, that’s a basically unstable way of governing,” Mr. Burman said…
“There is no way we can pay for health care and the rest of the Obama agenda, plus get our long-term deficits under control, simply by raising taxes on the wealthy,” said Isabel V. Sawhill, a former Clinton administration budget official. “The middle class is going to have to contribute as well.”
That’s awesome! I was just telling the wife how we had all of this money lying around the house and it would be great if we could waste it on programs neither of us want!

it’s funny, I’d swear I remember him saying something during his campaign days, over and over again… that those that make less than 250K won’t see additional taxes…

I mentioned that taxes will have to be increased on the middle class to a certain liberal in my life. I guess the party line response is that the middle class is already paying more than their share because we have to foot the bill for all the uninsured who go to emergency rooms. Funny how they’ve got a way to rationalize away the fact that he lied about new taxes on the middle class.

Obama couldn’t accomplish one thing without Pelosi, Reid, etc. We need term limits! I am tired of the elected officials passing obamacare, medicare, etc. and then have their little private elite plans so they don’t personally have to deal with any of this. We need to fire their butts! Get to the polls in November people and remember the campaign promises that have been broken time and time again by these jerks.
