Air America: Obama’s A “Fascist?”

By Wyatt Earp | August 22, 2009

Ho. Lee. Crap. While I disagree that the president is a fascist – people who throw that term around have no idea of its true meaning – I think it says a lot about his rapidly declining popularity amongst his once-steady base.

Hot Air has the head-scratching details:

Via Red State, proof positive that there are some Obama lies so shameless that even the left won’t spin them for him. This is Naked Emperor News’s second video on The One’s oh-so-shady backroom deal with the pharmaceutical lobby; the first one was entitled “Obama’s Mother of All Political Lies,” a description I don’t agree with but which Air America apparently does. Watching this, it’s not just the dishonesty of his campaign promises that galls, it’s the sanctimony he displayed in misleading his cultists to believe things would be drastically different under Hopenchange. The pandering during the Billy Tauzin clip in particular is enough to make you queasy. Like the lady says, “a charming liar.”

Here’s the audio/video:

Air Freakin’ America is calling Obama a fascist? Holy crap, how long was I away? What year is this?

Spare us the high dudgeon. Anyone who failed to see this coming by January 2008 has only himself to blame. Past Labor Day, when brazenly manipulated U.S. markets encounter the Crash of 2009, we will find this trash-basket administration, corrupt and incompetent to the nth degree, is only gearing up.

“Baby Boomers” turning 65 will hit like a tidal wave in 2010. Alas, not only the FDIC but Social Security are bankrupt, having zero fund-reserves. Amid waves of bank failures, looming hyper-inflation, FICA now declares there will be no cost-of-living increase in 2010– not now, not ever. By 2020 at latest, retirees will see their promised pensions shrink to nothing in purchasing-power terms.

Weeping, wailing, gnashing of teeth will be for naught: The deed is done, purposely made inevitable over five decades. Meantime, the public sector’s insular and ossified elites have carefully immunized themselves from socio-economic catastrophe. How naive.

Frank Hague, Boss Tweed (1836, 1874 respectively): “I am the Law. What are you going to do about it?” What indeed.

John – High dudgeon is about all I can afford right now – primarily because my wallet is empty.

And a lot of people did see this coming, but McCain wouldn’t attack Obama on his economy-crushing plans. Go figure. Hopefully it will get the GOP of its collective ass and get back to something akin to fiscal responsibility before 2012, but somehow, I doubt it.

Those of us that saw it coming and said so were called racists and nutjobs. I’d laugh, but this is my country, and it is sad.

Okay, so I giggle in a sardonic way.

He is, in fact, all of the above. Read Jonah Goldberg’s Liberal Fascism.

    RT – RACIST!!!

Randal – His policies have Socialist leanings, but he’s neither a Socialist, a Marxist, or a Communist, in my opinion.

Bob – Haven’t read it. I’m going non-political for a while. There are four John Sandford books on my shelf I haven’t touched yet.
