I'm glad they are getting the positive recognition they deserve.

Here are interviews with the officers (click on the names):

1) Inside every cop is a fireman screaming to get out.

2) Maybe if Lloyd and Nutter didn't close every firehouse in the city this wouldn't happen.

3) Cops on ladders? Now we've seen everything!

4) They'll both get three days off for smoke inhalation and get to sit next to the President at the State of the Union.

5) It was probably only a pot of meat.

Oh Ok. Good job fellas. :)
My eyes are bleeding now leave me alone.

Nice job, but then really, don't police do very good things daily that never get in the news? I have always thought so, just the number of times to become a real hero aren't as many (thank you, Lord) as the entertainment media would like you to believe. The younger girl trusted the officer enough to jump - says it all there doesn't it?

Great job by the cops!

I just wonder what would have been said if the 7 year old had not been caught and had broken a leg or had permanent brain damage.

We have a crazy fetish over here about "Health and Safety". Possibly both officers would have been on a charge for not carrying out a "suitable and sufficient risk assessment" and for endangering members of the public. I hope not but it would not surprise me. Similar thinhgs have happened before.
