2009’s Funniest Super Bowl Commercial

By Wyatt Earp | February 2, 2009

At least in my opinion (and Code Monkey’s - she sent it to me.) Take a gander and see if you work with any of these folks. I’ll wager that you do.

Funny, funny stuff.

UPDATE: For those of you outside the U.S. - Yes, Dorkelina, I am looking at you - here is the YouTube version of the commercial:

I could see the YouTube video, but hulu gives the finger to anyone not living in the U.S.

    Jerks.

I can’t say that was my favorite commercial although my boys thought the koala getting punched was hilarious!

    HAH! Thanks!

I have to say, I like the punching of the koala too.

Dorkelina - Fixed that for ya!

Deanna - I agree. Knocked his glasses right off his face. I also like the first screaming woman. If I had a dollar every time I did that outside of work . . .

Dorkelina - It’s never not funny.

I liked the Potato Head commercial.

Right on, Doghouse, the Potato Head commercial to me is the funniest Super Bowl commercial of 2009. The one from CareerBuilder.com is hilarious, as is the Budweiser commercial with Conan O’Brien (what a riot!) and the Doritos commercial about the crystal ball.

The GoDaddy.com commercial Shower was funny, but don’t expect anything racy if you haven’t seen the Internet version yet. It’s just funny.

One last thing, none of the movie ads I saw got me interested, except for Transformers 2 (saw the first film and liked it, so I was a little interested) and GI JOE (which made me a little hopeful).

Here am I, trying to follow all this and the Game is shown on BBC which is strictly no ads.

I feel like the woman in the car.

Any more of these ads on Youtube?

    Just one more question …
Why is someone in America puching a koala bear from Australia that is wearing glasses (and has an English accent)? You’ve lost me, guys.

Wasn’t there a game or something last night?

No one going to talk about it?

Doghouse - I just saw that one. Fabulous!

Morgan - I thought G.I. Joe looked pretty cool, too.

Alan B - The koala bear was an original settler of the penal colony. Hasn’t lost his accent yet.

I liked this one too. I don’t know why I’m identifying with the job search site ads… it’s so strange.

Alan B - I found a bunch of the ads on YouTube with .

    There was a game?

The only funny commercial was the newbie suggesting they not buy beer/water for the meetings anymore!
