Hamas Politician: We Won Gaza War
By Wyatt Earp | January 24, 2009
In other news, Ron Paul just declared victory in the 2008 election, and will be moving into the White House tomorrow afternoon.
Since a truce took hold this week, ending Israel’s three-week onslaught, Gaza’s Hamas rulers have declared victory and gone out of their way to show they are in control.
“We are in control and we are the winner,” Hamas legislator Mushir al-Masri declared this week, after attending the funeral of four Hamas gunmen.
But Israeli strikes destroyed all of Hamas’ security compounds and most government buildings. Its top two leaders, strongman Mahmoud Zahar and Gaza Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, have not yet appeared in public.
Israel claims to have killed more than 700 Hamas fighters, while the militants say they lost about 280 armed men, the vast majority members of the police force killed in surprise bombings on the first day of the war. (H/T – FOXNews)
Al-Masri had better check the judge’s scorecard, because from where I am sitting it appeared that Hamas had its asses thoroughly kicked. The only reason the truce was agreed upon was because Israel was running out of targets to annihilate.
Idiots.

The only way to solve the issue is for Israel to turn Gaza into a parking lot…
I give it 30 days and the rockets will be firing again.

Sadly, people will believe they won. Meh.

Old NFO – Israel said that a rocket attack from Gaza would nullify the truce. Good for them.
RT – Well, when folks like CNN tell them so, they swallow it like tripe.
