SCOTUS Refuses To Hear Obama Birth Case
By Wyatt Earp | December 8, 2008

Thank. God!
I don’t like this guy at all, but this story is such a bunch of crap. This nonsense wasn’t funny three months ago. Now, it’s just sad. He was born in Hawaii, kids, and no amount of wishful thinking is going to change that. Move on.
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court has turned down an emergency appeal from a New Jersey man who says President-elect Barack Obama is ineligible to be president because he was a British subject at birth.
The court did not comment on its order Monday rejecting the call by Leo Donofrio of East Brunswick, N.J., to intervene in the presidential election.
Donofrio says that since Obama had dual nationality at birth — his mother was American and his Kenyan father at the time was a British subject — he cannot possibly be a “natural born citizen,” one of the requirements the Constitution lists for eligibility to be president.
Donofrio also contends that two other candidates, Republican John McCain and Socialist Workers candidate Roger Calero, also are not natural-born citizens and thus ineligible to be president.
At least one other appeal over Obama’s citizenship remains at the court. Philip J. Berg of Lafayette Hill, Pa., argues that Obama was born in Kenya, not Hawaii as Obama says and the Hawaii secretary of state has confirmed. (H/T – FOXNews)
So I guess in Mr. Berg’s world, Ralph Nader would be sworn in on January 20th? Yeah, that’ll work. Moron.

Dumb. Why do people have to waste the time of others with stupid, unnecessary lawsuits?

We have turned into a litigation society. Sad but true.

Why doesn’t 0bama just produce the birth certificate and shut everyone up? There’d alway be the conspiracy idiots around to claim forgery, but it would go a long way toward making this issue disappear.

Rick – These fringe dopes make all conservatives look bad.
RT – Because they think it’ll make them famous.
Admiral – And it is just going to get worse. Mark my words.
Ky person – Hawaii showed the original to a bunch of media types previously. I’m fine with that. Even if Obama personally showed it to these people, they would still claim it was false, etc. They’re like the people who think 9-11 was an inside job.
Ted – He absolutely will be inaugurated. Bank on it.
Doghouse – On an American naval base in Panama.

Correction Mr. Earp. Hawaii showed a copy of a birth certificate. State copies are not even acceptable for travel. The state of Hawaii has refused to show an original. Not sure why it is a big deal, just show the proof and move on. And, a Naval base in Panama is considered US soil.
